A pet....and the responsibilities to boot

Last two weekends, i adopted a cat at SPCA, Selangor Branch at Jln Kerja Ayer Lama, Ampang. I dont know what possessed me at the time la kan...suddenly i wanted a pet after quite some time not having one.

The first pet ever raise by our family was a cow, called Mamat. Obviously it is not a real pet for it is for AidilAdha. The second one was a Tiong bird that was given to the family by a relative who live in Pagoh. It didnt last long either...i cant even remember the name, in fact i dont think it has a name. Then my brother reared some prawns, seriously Udang Galah type...(that is not a pet la bangang!!<-that is for me..muahahhaha).

Later...really really later, like 12 years later, i decided to kept some fish as a pet. With super filtering agent worth RM150 to recycle water, several gold fishes, one DBKL fish with the stones and bridges to boot. Man, it was like beautiful to look at la kan.

However, the pain comes when you have to actually wash the freaking aquarium and the problem of actually carrying buckets of water to the aquarium beginning to take a toll on me. The final straw came when my son decided to be Popeye the sailorman ...putting all his toys into the aquarium. So i decided to release the fish to the open water (Parit belakang rumah) ..furthermore after watching Finding Nemo, i now know what living in a aquarium felt like....hahahhahahhah.

That was two years ago....and now, i decided to keep a cat. The missus wasnt too pleased abt it..fearing asthma and all that. We learn to adapt somehow....there i was, in SPCA..looking at all the cats....the price ranges from RM 70 to RM 350/=...man, there is a cat that look exactly like Garfield, it cost RM 320 and the main diet is only lamb and mashed potato. Heh..heh that's why la kan. So i decided to pick one particular cat that keep harrasing my feet ....a female cat, who smells quite nice actually.

A name yet to be found for this cat but soon. I will post the cat picture on this blog as soon as i know how to do it on this particular service. In the meantime, keep purring and have a good fasting day ahead of you.
