Out long your stay??

Submit report, Pak Lah tells Samy
BY ZARINAH DAUD

BUTTERWORTH: Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi has instructed Works Minister Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu to submit a report on the many problems affecting government projects.

The issues include the North-South Expressway landslide, the air-conditioning and structural defects of the Sultan Ismail Hospital in Johor Baru and construction irregularities on the East Coast Expressway.

“I am very unhappy with all these happenings. There have been a lot of complaints. Something must be wrong.

“I want to hear from Samy Vellu why these things are happening and to find out why,” the Prime Minister said.

“I want to know what had happened and what had gone wrong. This is something that has happened as a result of work that has been done before,” Abdullah told reporters after chairing the Penang Umno liaison committee meeting here yesterday.

He was asked to comment on the many complaints affecting government projects and whether he would ask the Works Ministry to carry out some house-cleaning to restore its image in the eyes of the people.

The Prime Minister admitted that many problems affecting government projects had surfaced lately and that the people were complaining about them.

He said there was also poor maintenance of government buildings.

Think about this....

I have said it before and i dont mind said it again.

This a unfortunately a bad Malaysian attitude! The refusal to believe that you are no longer wanted.

Uuuuuu....there are some quarters who still wants me here...said Samy

Does he ever consider that there is another three quarter who doesnt want him at all?

Even Lim Kit Siang passed over his mettle to his successor. Lim Keng Yek pun passed over...at least he said it publicly. No....not Samy, " I believe i can still contribute...."

For god sake Samy....leave for your dignity. It is a pity that you acted this way. Why emblemish your track record (if any??) with this childish attitude?

Not only for Samy laa....even for Zainal Rampak as well. Retire la beb....give some new blood to the organisation. Let some fresh ideas flows....not only you out long your stay..you also create your own downfall with your VP plotting and scheming your way out. Remember Brutus anyone, the one who killed Ceaser?

Personally, both of them already passed their retirement age...their refusal to bulge not only added the govt. operating cost...but possibly other opportunity cost!

Sad really, especially when you think in other countries be it Japan, US or UK that a slightest hint of a scandal, will abruptly end any person career.

Though we may envision ourselves to be part of an advanced nation...our mentality still lags in a feudal system.

What say you??
