CONTOH SURAT RASMI PERMOHONAN KAHWIN LAGI SATU(DATUK K PAKAI AGAKNYA...)

Suami bin Lelaki
17, Jalan Angkasa,
24300, Kemaman

Terengganu.

Isteri binti Perempuan
17, Jalan Angkasa,
24300, Kemaman
Terengganu.
31 April 2006
Puan,
PERKARA : PERMOHONAN UNTUK BERPOLIGAMI
Perkara di atas adalah di rujuk.

saya lampirkan bukannya balingan periuk nasi, pinggan-mangkuk, ketukan
senduk dan perkara-perkara yang menyukarkan pihak puan untuk melakukannya.

7. Saya harap puan sudi meluluskan permohonan ini. Hadirkanlah senyumanmu
sebagaimana ketika kita menyambut orang baru iaitu bayi kita kedalam
keluarga kita 10 tahun lepas. Situasinya lebih kurang sama dengan masa
kini.

Isteri binti Perempuan bertanyakan "Nak suruh saya tandatangan dimana?
Guna pisau boleh bang..?".

Kini anda berpeluang untuk hantarkan surat yang sedia didraf ini kepada
isteri anda pula. Caranya, cuma tukarkan nama dan alamat pengirim dan
penerima. Kalau anda berani cubalah.... ahaks!

Malaysia has gone to the dogs. Not a day goes by without some report in the national dailies on the occurrence of armed robberies, bloody gang fights, child abuses, cold-blooded murders, gang rapes, road rage and snatch thefts.

And I don't think the government of Badawi is doing enough to tackle this social malaise. But to be fair to the prime minister, he had inherited these social ills from his predecessor, and one just cannot expect him to stamp out the problem in a matter of two or three years.

Back to the dogs. Some time ago, a young woman's body was found in a box. Some time ago, a young woman was walking back from work at night when she was shoved into a car and taken to a bungalow where she was allegedly gang-raped by some Africans.

Sound familiar? Remember the girl who was raped and then killed by the bus driver after a terror bus ride? There are countless others whose names I can't recall, but the graphic images of the violence perpetrated against these victims remain. And of course, the case last occasion of the young woman who raped and killed while out jogging.

Well, it is more than just fate. Fate is just an explanation for those events that led one to being at the wrong place at the wrong time. But what caused the brutal murder?

The two decades under Dr Mahathir saw rapid economic development. Spanking new highways were built, crisscrossing the country, the world's tallest buildings were built; new factories mushroomed overnight; illegal immigrants arrived in hordes; foreign direct investments flowed into the country, while the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange was turned into a virtual casino. Those were wonderful and heady times indeed.

When the stock market crashed in 1997, we cried foul; we blamed Soros for our financial sorrows. Did we blame ourselves? Of course not.

Who cares about ethics or values when you can make money at the expense of others? You want better roads? "No problem, we will give you better roads. Just pay your toll."

But at what cost? It was two decades of social havoc. Money or material wealth became (still is) the new God. Corruption, greed and ugly money, and race politics set in. Religious and social values became subordinated to the new God.

I am very please Badawi admits that Muslim countries are among the world most-corrupted. Look no further, just look at Malaysia. Want to learn corruption? Come to Malaysia. We will set up universities to teach that.

It is the Muslims (those ignorant and confused) that are corrupt. Their leaders show very bad example and stop calling their countries Islamic countries. They are not Islamic countries - they are just countries run by false leaders - they are not Muslim leaders.

Right on, man. Could not agree with you more. Malaysia indeed is one of the few top corrupt countries in the world. Soon it will put Nigeria and Indonesia into shame! Using religion as a fascist front to enrich the BN gangs is sub-human and evil.

In fact the whole religion set up in Malaysia is a direct duplication of the Hitler regime, with the Hitler youth now reemerging. Using this power to enrich the gangsters, as history shows it, will not last.

The World Bank has shown that reducing corruption by a small percentage will yield a 3 to 4 times rise in GDP per head. That talking about reducing poverty is a lot of bullshit. By just talking about reducing corruption in international arena to make fame without any knowledge of corruption's implication is sheer stupidity and we have it in Malaysia, time and again.

Islam itself is a corrupted religion. They copy Jews and Christianity religion. Then stole Pagan Temple and take away Hajar Aswad the Pagan God. Hmm what a shame?

Our prime minister is full of shit. When Israel attacked Lebanon, he voiced out. But when Umno Youth attacked MCA, he didn't know about it!

When corruption is so blatantly happening in Malaysia, he keeps quiet but can talk in conference about other Islamic countries. What! Look at the speck in your own eye first! Don't close one eye and peep through the other.

Why worry about others when our very own "half-past-six" ministers are the worst than armed-robbers, because they rob the whole nation under the pretext of helping the bumis.

The problem in Malaysia is, we shouldn't have independence from British at very first place. How nice it will be if Queen appoints someone calibre person in Malaysia like Satyanand. God Bless Malaysia!

No need to look so far. Even our neighbour down south has an Indian for a deputy prime minister.

Man, don't forget the same southern neighbour is also having an Indian as president. Not for a single term. Now he is on his second term as president. This is called transparency!

The so-called unity in this country is very much superficial. There are only two reasons why it appears this way to the outsider.

1. Anyone that says anything about the Umno-malay deems racial will be thrown to jail under ISA.

2. As general, people appreciate the harmony and peace in this country. Especially with all the terrorist attacks and wars all over the world.

As for a reason a true "Malaysian" race will not happen, there is only one. As long as the discrimination and separation of "bumis" and "non-bumis" exist. People will be automatically very conscious about their ethnic race.

The logic is simple, the more discrimination, the more conscious about their place in society and the more conscious about protecting the benefit of their ethnic race.

Once this "bumis" and "non-bumis" status is abolished and everyone is equal, citizens will automatically merged into one Malaysian race.

The cause is that Malaysia and Malaysians still prefer to have race-based political parties to rule this country.

Then, what you get are politicians who gain power using race-issues, and politician-wannabes like the upstart son-in-law playing dangerous claptrap racial politics to be in the limelight.

In a multiracial country like Malaysia, where Malaysians political maturity is just out of infancy, Malaysians become easy suckers and convenient victims of dangerous racial politics, including the manifestation of keris-wielding dramatics in public by minister come from these race-based political parties.

Initially three main component parties in BN were formed to show British that we, as the citizens of this land are unite and we want and can be independent.

After the 513 incident and the introduction of NEP, the focus of each party changes to protect benefit of the race that represent under the segregation "bumis" and "non-bumis" status.

To me, Pak Lah focus on wrong direction, he is more like a "ketua kampung" than a prime minister. Prime minister should focus on making the country strong and able to compete internationally, and let the real "ketua kampung" worry about asking people to be polite, etc.

Can anyone blame those dissolution people for not flying the flag on independence day? To me, there is really nothing to celebrate about. We seem to be worst off in terms of racial polarization with each passing year.

If you read our Malaysia school history textbook - you will realised there are a few changes in the history. Did the malays change the history again?

How can you change the history to make our country and malays sound like so marvelous and smart but the fact is not, and insert the wrong information to our next generation? If there was a mistake made by your ancestor, admit it!

Going back to the history of Thailand and Malaysia, prior to the western colonialism era, the entire Malaysia was part of Thailand; the same way Laos was part of Thailand. Back then, the fittest survived and ruled. There were no such things as international laws.

During the western colonialism period, the British and the French came along. In order to maintain its independence, the Kingdom of Thailand was compelled to give up the currently called Malaysia part of Thailand to the British, and the currently called Laos to the French.

After that, the official boundaries that separated Thailand from Malaysia and Laos were drawn and recognized today by the United Nations.

So, the history textbook in school never really started from the root but started from whoever he is, the Parameswara who seems no one never sure how he looks like, or whatsoever migrant from Indonesia, and after that, all the malays thought this land called Malaysia and call them bumis and need the special rights for everything, and claim from everything.

Arrogant, bully, chauvinist, ego, empty brained Umno - who barely bloody hypocrite.

The land is simply not belongs to you naive malay, even we not to force, already a lot of Malaysians gone to other countries to find better living, especially the talented ones, our country not appreciate smart talented Chinese and Indians, other countries like America, Australia and England they do, that is why their country is so multi-cultured yet advanced, who is the lose one?

We are Malaysians, but then all these years are we really treated equally? We all know about that issues, just that you guys don't want to face it, try to hide it or push people out of the country, well……….no need to force all those talented people are already outside the country, let us see all those well-known Malaysians who work overseas:

The very Hollywood star, Michelle Yeoh in US. The very popular violinist, Andrew Au Yong in German. The very smart author, Sandra Chen in Australia. The very talented Indian chef, Sangkar in Paris.

Where are they from? Malaysia. Where are they now? Other people's countries - and many many more medical practitioners are overseas as well. Who is left over in Malaysia? Those lose one. We no need to force, we choose to leave.

Rafidah latest outburst is akin to those statements made by Malaysia ministers: Badrud and Omar. It is like telling the foreign investors: "If you don't like it, please get out."

What a brainless statement given by the minister - if I were the investor I also won't give 30% to the sleeping partners. Regardless you are bumi or not, prove to the investors that you are capable of holding the percentage of shares you want, with you own capability, you can even get more than that.

Put it this way, from business point of view, if you are the foreign investor, what will attract you to invest in Malaysia compares to China? China is more resourceful and unless you want to close the door and just do business with your own people.

I think she is trying to divert corruption topic on herself……….sigh, let her disappear by herself?

But seriously, we need to reinvent ourselves, sharpen our pencils and get some young guns to promote and do a better job of selling (not selling out) the country.

The education system needs a serious re-looking to encourage innovative thinking instead of churning out graduates fit for the assembly line and manufacturing field.

Singapore has a population 10 times smaller than ours yet it reaps in FDI that is 5 times ours! You don't need to be a rocket scientist to figure out something is wrong.

The weakness in NEP are only 2 fold:

(1) failure to set and adhere to a deadline (so that malays knew that they have to work for self-betterment within a time frame and this would only benefit malay themselves and fellow Malaysians)

(2) weakness in execution as the benefits did not flow onto malays equally. That is why we can see a Dato spending much on divorce and marrying while many malays are still in poverty

I would say that certain malays are powerful and rich; emerging as the prime pillar of economic strength in Malaysia. Chinese businesses may be more numerous but they are mainly of smaller scale. The biggest companies in Malaysia are Petronas, Sime Darby, Telekonm, Tenaga, and I think most of them are controlled by malays.

Majority of the voters do not have access to a balanced media reporting channels to debate the cons and pros of the government. So long the BN buys votes with handouts and nice slogans, I think the majority ignorant voters can be swayed away from seeing the real issues.

I agree malays must adopt a "charitable culture". You already have the Zakat mechanism here but since when we hear rich malays donating and helping poor malays? If malay poverty is a national issue, patriotic and rich malays should assist their fellow Islam but I have not heard the likes of AP kings donating like what Bill Gates did.

But don't forget, we have poor Chinese, Indians, Kadazan, Orang Asli……….so poverty is race blind. We should help all poor people, not only poor malays, but poor Malaysians.

We have to move beyond Chinese vs. malay and all that crap. It is Malaysia vs. Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam etc, for economic survival.

In Indonesia, there are Indonesian Muslims, Christians, Hindus. In west Asia, there are also Arab Muslims, Christians, and even Jews. But in Malaysia, malays must be Muslims to be called malays.

Religion, especially Islam, is very effective in controlling the minds and thoughts of a people, and makes it easy to govern them.

However, still most Muslim malays are such a embarrassing and disappointment themselves by practising intense racial sentiment. Very very very few are open minded, and most of these good hearted malays are from educated priviledged and motivated background.

Too sad the leftover Muslim malays are hypocrite rubbish and will always be rubbish.

It is easy to blame malays (for whatever issue) since there are just too many examples out there for the minorities to exploit. Yes that holds some truth to it, so let us forget about the useless racist uneducated malays. Let us examine the 'smart' malays, the new breed malays.

When a smart malay who had the opportunity to get great education (e.g. from Oxford), uses racial sentiment which is a very cheap way to get around pleasuring own's nipples across the political arena, is not that another example of typical malay? Just that in this example it involves a new breed malay, the smart one.

Again, I am rude but these are real.

Every single person born in this Malaysia should have the same equal rights.

If the Muslim community want to respect Islam, they should give the right and protection to the non-Muslims. Not the other way round. For Islam is fair and is beautiful. It is the racist card players who changed the rules and adopted racism as part of their agendas.

It is not true that outside Malaysia the migrants have lesser rights than those living in Malaysia. This is a fallacy and you know it. Migrants are mistreated in Malaysia more than in other countries - go check your facts.

Umno racist sympathizer yet trying to sound reconciling - no constructive comments - all sound as if Umno racist is the one that deserve the chance and have the ability to fix……….all others opposition party are useless!

You expect us non-malays to just accept unfair justice, racism or corruption for 50 years and keep quiet about it? Thank God, He did not create robots. Humans are retaliate, free to belief and choose - ask Umno racist to do its best to block freedom - watch the fall out!

The world is looking at Malaysia - the decision is simple and against human freedom will have to face God and the world too……….one day!

As many have correctly pointed out, Malaysia is the only place in the world where there is institutionalised racism (NEP defined apartheid).

I guess any person who has followed closely developments in Malaysia can already see the brain drain from our country……….so I will not elaborate.

For your information, a large pool of overseas talents and professionals are from Malaysia or was once Malaysians. I even have a fellow PhD collegue pioneering technologies for NASA at MIT, just because they gave him a scholarship. He was rejected straight away by UM of course.

At least in overseas, talents are valued, appreciated, and given a fair go as opposed to the semi-oppressive and exploitative nature of NEP (and its spin offs).

Equal rights for every citizen of Malaysia and that is how it ought to be. The malays seem never enough to be satisfied with they have - such an inferior race with lack of intelligence.

The Chinese, Indians and Malays fought for independence from the British together. Malaysia is born from the strength of Chinese, Indians and Malays. In American or Indonesia, they obtained their independence in a different way. So please don't compare with the rest of the world.

History teach us that the first inhabitant of Malaysia come from China Yunan. The malay originated from the Polynesia. Malay history start from Parameswara who escape from Indonesia and settle in Melaka. During his time, Laksamana Cheng Ho visit Melaka seven times.

Melaka need the protection of the China from the invasion of the Siamese. Without Cheng Ho, there won't be history Malay, instead you have history Siam.

Mass influx of Chinese and Indians was during the rule of the British. That was before the creation of Malaysia. Today we have Malaysia, who can claimed to be ketuanan?

God save all of us.

Indeed the real bumis are the Orang Asli, they too are migrated from other places many many hundred years ago!

By the way, if Islam is so tolerable, strong and beautiful, why in Malaysia apostasy is not allowed? If this is a worry, then it only shows how weak Islam is!

I pity Malaysian Muslims, you probably are the least free people in this world! Even Indonesian Muslims are allowed to practice apostasy when they become adults!

UK, USA, Taiwan, South Korea, Singapore, France, Japan, Italy, Germany, etc - What make them different from Malaysia?

Why are they successful, well most importantly they practised meritocracy system and seconddly they don't have law that discriminate against skin colors or religions or minorities.

Our constitution does not say we are a secular state. But by the same token, nowhere does it say we are an Islamic state either.

A country can be Islamic but yet remain secular in government. Turkey, Egypt and Algeria are prime examples. As long as the Constitution remains the supreme law of the land, we are an Islamic country but a secular state.

All these are really non-issues as long as everybody sticks to the original game plan. So to all Muslims and non-Muslims alike, please try to understand the issues for what they really are and not let your emotions take hold.

Hisham statement to back up Khairy on his racial statement is truly pathetic and stupid. Hisham is a proven idiot by backing Khairy racial statement. He should have never back any racial statement period. We are a multi racial country. Not just malay and malay only.

One is an arrogant donkey, one is a stupid idiot - both together you get a bleak future of the country. He thinks he is Robin Hood for the poor - what a freaking joke.

The answer - please not only you are a pathetic idiot - your chances of being prime minister is as close as it to finding a flying donkey on top of the Twin Towers.

Badawi is truly a pariah and may I add the most bastard person I have ever known on this country. How can he allow his son-in-law says anything like this! He is the prime minister for God sake. Khairy statement not only hurt the Chinese or Indians but also Malays.

As I would like to remind all the arrogant malays who think this is their country and their land alone.

In history book clearly says that the Kesultanan Melayu started in Malacca when a Hindu prince named Parameswara run away from Majapahit (Indonesia) due to power struggle with his brother. He then converted to Islam by Arab merchants and is called Sultan Muzaffar Shah.

So tell me where does it justify that Malaysia belongs to malays only? We are all Malaysians! Chinese, Iban, Indian, Kadazan, Malay, or any other races. This is our country.

Our education minister is more suitable as a "zookeeper" - teaching the animals, monkeys especially, how to do monkey tricks. How can you expect human beings to respect you? All you know is aping others, sending your own daughter to study overseas and threatening people with an ancient weapon!

The path of evolution for UPM malay undergrads towards becoming PAS and Umno Youth members. Malaysia Boleh!

Mob rules Malaysia. Here in this stupid Bolehland you are not entitled to your own opinion. Everything must be from the government even sex. The government will need to know how productive you are in having sex!

Like father, like son, or like Umno Youth, like UPM students.

You can't blame these monkeys, after all they are only following in the footsteps of Umno Youth. Mark my words, no action will be taken against these monkeys. They have been brainwashed to be racists and that they are the superior race by their Hitler, the Umno.

Universities in Malaysia? Yes, to train one to be a hooligan! Yes, to train one to be racist. Yes, to train future Umno Youth! That is the meaning of universities in Malaysia.

Yes, to train one to follow the examples of present Umno leaders - either to be an Umno hooligan racist (as in Umno members of parliament) or to be "useless followers of elegant silence". Either way they are fine examples of the uses of public universities in Malaysia.

Sooner or later, Malaysia will become the Planet of the Apes. I am quite certain that many of these mobs will not be able to get any jobs after their graduation. But don't worry, the government will hire them and eventually they will become the leaders, ministers, who will run this country.

This whole chunk of malays are not (just) monkeys! They are the ill-bred barbarian coming deep from underground tunnel. I really have not seen such heinous behavior of university students in any part of the developing world.

They are putting their own family and race into great shame. And yet, what is the education minister doing? Keeping quiet over this racial attack! Just because they are the malays while the victims are the Chinese. Really feel shame of this country!

The keris waving minister of education from Umno will be very happy when he see the video recording and learn that many UPM malay students have picked up his intimidation tactics.

They have what it takes to be future Umno Youth leaders and members. Bravo Umno Youth - show more examples of how you can apply the law of the jungle in Bolehland.

There are many illogical things in life. The malay fascists folks don't like the Chinese. And yet it is the Chinese who is funding the structure of Ketuanan Melayu. Why?

The majority of tax money comes from the Chinese. If all Chinese move out from Malaysia, our economy will shrink by 80%. This means that we will be 80% poorer and all the free subsidies that malays enjoy will cease to exist. So basically the monkey in the orange shirt did not realise that his scholarship was 80% effectively funded by the Chinese guy parents.

But anyway, malays don't need to worry too long. Looking into the future, seeing how big China has become and our own irrelevance in the world economy. I just feel that one day the Malaysian Chinese will voluntarily move back to China because the country will become much richer than us.

We always laugh at the Indonesian immigrants who brave the sharks to come to our country. We may one day find ourselves in the same position at the shores of China.

I am just concerned that one day it will be our malay children turn who get bullied in the China, just like how we see in today. One of the scariest quality of God is that he is fair. I will continue to wish that God stay fair, so that malays can continue to bully and discriminate our Chinese brothers, with any repercussions in the future.

Watching the video is sad but reading these comments is sadder. What kind of mentality we have and what kind of society we live today? Mahathir, you have failed us miserably, your tear does not suffice, we want your blood. Pak Lah, you better do something fair and quick or resign, so another can rule wisely.

At this rate we are going with so much hatred among us, it is not fear of the country going down the drain but fear of the country breaking up. With a population of 23 million, can't we have a capable leader? Sigh……….

Our education system is a failure, this sort of thing should not be happening. Why can't we tolerate? Why create such a problem? Why can't problem being solved in a peaceful debate and talk? Why perform violence?

Ok, I am telling myself to face the reality - I am embarrassed of my own country, people cannot just live together, there are just some culprits who like to create problem, seeing there is a little too peaceful in this country. The racial problem will never be solved, not in the next 30 years, it is hopeless. That is it, end of talk.

You stinking malay pig, please get the fxxx back to your own land in Aceh or Jawa, whatever. Because this is Tanah Orang Asli and malay pig like you are pendatang!

To someone……….time and time again we have said that the malays are from Jawa. I always say that they are from Aceh, Sumatra, etc - do you see anyone of these racists (obviously malays) objecting to that fact?

This is the truth and they cannot handle this. They don't dare say that because it is so true! Even Mahathir admitted recently - the origins of the malays are not Malaysia but Indonesia - Sumatra and island etc.

The real bumis are the natives of Borneo and the Orang Asli. Not these malay free loaders and wasted sperms.

"Son of the soil" incorrect! More appropriate term would be "Rapist of the soil"! Malays are pendatang, they called Chinese and Indians pendatang! Tak malu!

To malays pendatang from Indonesia, you are also enemy to Indonesia, stupid! Apa? Tak faham English? Makan tahi dan berambus balik ke Jawa! Setia kepada negara Indonesia! So are you, malay pig!

Aren't you a bloody hypocrite? You are not the Orang Asli of this country - you are an immigrant from Jawa, Sulawesi, all elsewhere - why did you come here to this country then?

Why not help your own country (or should I say your dilapidated kampung in Jawa) and improve the situation then? What……….what did you say? Oh you want a better life is it? I see - so what does that make you? A patriotic fake? Or a hypocrite with no substance?

Compare China and Indonesia - then tell me who is faring better in the international stage. You useless malay pig. At the end of the day - you work for me.

Obviously, you are worse than shit. Not pigs, for pigs are really smart animals. Tanah Melayu my ass! Orang Asli were here before your ancestors crept onto this land. Learn some history, ok? Of course, you can always change history! Tak malu kah!

You are sick in the brain, thanks to Mahathir!

Chinese got pissed off as not all Chinese are rich, but all work their asses off to make an honest living, while idiots like you think that you are entitled to riches without sweating. What discontent? After all these years all the handouts, you still couldn't get your acts together, and you want to blame others, the Chinese, the Indians? Where is your dignity?

What anger? You get angry at the Olympics because malays can't run faster than the Americans? The Aussies? The Chinese? (Just imagine some of you jokers made it to the Olympics, although none did!)

If you want to run amok, go ahead, join the apes and chimpanzees, your kind have been doing that at UPM, brainless monkeys they are, and so are you, go flock together.

The reason why malays tend to run "amok" is because of close relative breeding. Just like non-high breed dogs - brother have sex with the mother, and father marry their own sister, and the confusion goes on.

The end result is non-high breed dogs - that are difficult to train and tend to even bite their own master. Unlike the Chinese, they are very careful not to have too close relative marrying one another.

That is why you can see how Chinese excel in different part of the world. The Chinese are indeed a world race now, as China progress with such speed which is unknown off in any other race in the world!

Singapore is a fine example of Chinese superiority! Sad news for the malay race but then again it is the truth!

(Malay extremists racists are going to call you pendatang etc, even hang you upside down by your balls, for socking them in the balls where it hurts most, like you did.

But you have been brave in telling them the truth about the dark side of their race which explains why they are so backward. God be with you……….)

Rich and successful Chinese don't owe you a thing. Not so successful Chinese are working honestly to make ends meet. So, you either work, or go get fed in the ass by Mahathir, ok? He won't charge you for the ecstasy and the service you may receive.

You are nothing but scum. You give fellow malays a bad name. You make your parents lose face. When you look in the mirror, what do you see? A good-for-nothing idiot! That is all there is in you.

You are a babi hutan from either the jungle of Jawa or Sumatra. All you Umno malay pig are in fact pendatang to this Tanah Orang Asli. So get the fxxx out of my country!

Although I am living in Australia now, I do believe there are still hopes for Malaysia. Well at least there are many malays who know how to think now and more open minded - open minded is not only referring to accept the homosexual and others culture, but it is more likely to listen to other race's voices and also accepting changes, it is not about losing your race's pride or anything, if you believe changes and listen to other peoples, there is a hope.

There are too many monkeys among our politicians, who only know how to scream and making fun of other races. I wonder do we really need these people to lead our country. I am now a citizen in Australia because I do not wish to go back one day if our country is not getting better than the current stage.

How can the former prime minister making fun of the current prime minister openly and become the laughing stock around the world yet we are not able to criticizing our government for them to turn better - we are worst than the people living in Africa sometimes.

Freedom is to achieve anything, freedom doesn't mean that our country is losing our pride or sinking to moral turpitude.

Umno, no doubt it is really a bully, they don't want people to call them bully, but they like to pretend to the victim for other races - as if they are graduate from drama school - they know how to use their talent in acting, I am sure they can make it to Hollywood and become world famous malay stars.

I grew up in a malay community village from the north. When I was young, I can see they received no help from the Umno, unless when it is near to the election, they might get a few tin of free milo and a packet of 5kg rice and funny enough - those people themselves from the village are the paddy field farmers.

Some of them do really need help from Umno like to get a better structure for their nearly collapse rumah atap. But they never get the helps from them even they asked for help, I know that all because they were my neighbour, until sometimes my dad donated them a new bed.

Umno fights for malays right? I don't really think so - they were just a bunch of "I want my things" people - claiming everything belongs to them and want every special right yet a seat in university for their Umno younger members.

I think they are more like gangster, if you want something good, become the member of Umno, the big brother will get the things you want for you. If you don't, well too bad, you will sleep under the rumah atap and no one will help you. Unless the election is near - you get some freebies.

Some malays from rural areas do need help. Umno, where are you when they need you? We only can see Umno where they want claim something or making noise when other races want built something for the country or the people too.

The national parade will extol the greatness of nation's history over these past decades.

But we need to create the space and the time for some serious discussions. It is about time that the nation stops to reflect in silence and prayer about the destiny of this tiny nation of 26 million citizens.

Over the past years, we have done well. Our development has brought great progress in terms of super structures, facilities, economics gain and amenities.

But lately, we are beginning to realise that despite all the progress we have attained, the country appears to be wallowing in a third world mindset and its many traps.

The on-going political fracas is not adding any solutions to the hour. While other regions are seriously battling the challenges of globalisation, we seem to be burning precious times and resources in slugging it out as to who is more right.

While the world appears to be divided on religious lines, we are unable to stand out as a beacon for all, given our more than four decades of experience as a multi-religious and multi-racial community. Instead we seem to be wasting too much time and energy debating on parameters that will only divide us further.

Our social fabric does not reflect the colours of material progress the nation has achieved. We litter, we hog the roads and break the laws. We cheat on the weights and quality of produce.

Reading is at an all-time low now so much so that the cabinet has to address it. We do not spend on books and the prices are not getting any cheaper.

Our education system never seems to get out of its web of problems. The fact that tuition is moving ahead in a big way across the nation is a manifestation of how serious the problem is.

Our national drug problem has escalated to the tune of having some two million addicts. The rehabilitation centres are bursting at their seams. Snatch thieves and robbers are having a easy get-away while the citizens spend huge amounts on all kinds of security devices to the point, that we now live in homes barricaded with padlocks with metal grills from entrance to ceiling.

Corruption is taking on a new cloak. Traders shortchange. Imitation goods are going up in sales. Employees cheat on time. CD pirates thrive. Builders cheat on material quality.

We therefore need to ask: What good is all this so-called roads and buildings, infrastructure, developments, if our society has not matured in tandem with the growth? Of what greatness is our long history of peace if we are not able to go beyond the realms of religious tolerance?

What pride can we really take in the fact that the nation is a multiracial one when our politicians still sing along racial divides and we still call ourselves Malay, Indian, Chinese, or 'others' instead of Malaysian?

Let not our golden jubilee next year continues as another mere window-dressing.
