PERKARA : PERMOHONAN UNTUK BERPOLIGAMI
Perkara di atas adalah di rujuk.

2. Sebab utama permohonan ini di lakukan adalah kerana saya ingin
melengkapkan kuota yang telah di peruntukkan bagi saya. Buat masa ini
kuota yang telah di isi cuma satu, memandangkan masih ada 3 kekosongan, eloklah
jika dapat di penuhi secepat mungkin. Pihak yang akan mengisi satu
kekosongan ini buat masa ini ialah Cik Hana Fazura binti Ramli yang
merupakan setiausaha saya di pejabat. Memandangkan komitmen yang beliau
tunjukkan di pejabat amat baik, eloklah jika kita masukkan dia bersama
kita di dalam organisasi keluarga kita. Kekosongan yang selebihnya akan di isi
di masa akan datang.

3. Untuk makluman pihak puan, yang sebenarnya masalah ini telah lama saya
fikirkan tetapi memandangkan poket saya yang selalu nipis, terpaksalah
saya tangguhkan dulu permohonan ini di samping kurangnye rasa keyakinan untuk
mengemukakan permohonan ini. Kini, setelah saya dapat mengeluarkan kesemua
duit pelaburan ASB saya, saya merasakan kembalinya semangat saya yang
telah hilang selama ini.

4. Permohonan ini amat setimpal kerana dengan kedudukan sekarang ia
menguntungkan kedua belah pihak dan juga pihak ketiga. Selama ini hidup
kita bahagia sebab jika tidak, manakan mungkin puan dapat menjadi seperti
sekarang. Semua yang puan miliki sudah bertambah besar. Kereta besar,
rumah besar, rantai besar dan pakaian besar. Jika dulu potongan puan seperti
gitar, kini sudah bertukar menjadi drum. Oleh itu, sudilah kiranya dapat
kita kongsi bersama insan lain kebahagiaan kita ini.

5. Pihak puan juga dapat menikmati faedah dari kelulusan permohonan ini
kerana puan akan tetap menikmati apa yang telah puan miliki sekarang
dengan waktu bekerja lebih singkat dan sistem syif akan di perkenalkan iaitu 1
hari kerja dan 1 hari cuti rehat. Waktu bekerja yang selebihnya akan
ditampung oleh pihak ketiga. Kebaikan yang puan akan nikmati ialah waktu
rehat yang bebas kerana dalam waktu puan bercuti, saya selaku Penyelia
tidak akan memantau aktiviti yang puan lakukan. Pada waktu itu saya cuma
akan fokus kepada hasil kerja pihak ketiga. Menguntungkan bukan?

6. Segala kerjasama dari pihak puan saya dahulukan dengan ribuan terima
kasih. Saya amat berharap pihak puan dapat meluluskan permohonan saya ini
kerana adalah lebih baik jika kita dapat berkongsi kebahagiaan kita ini
bersama insan lain. Saya harap permohonan saya ini di balas dengan
senyuman penuh keikhlasan dari pihak puan dan tandatangan puan di atas kertas yang
saya lampirkan bukannya balingan periuk nasi, pinggan-mangkuk, ketukan
senduk dan perkara-perkara yang menyukarkan pihak puan untuk melakukannya.

7. Saya harap puan sudi meluluskan permohonan ini. Hadirkanlah senyumanmu
sebagaimana ketika kita menyambut orang baru iaitu bayi kita kedalam
keluarga kita 10 tahun lepas. Situasinya lebih kurang sama dengan masa
kini. Kita akan menerima orang baru juga cuma bezanya ialah jika 10 tahun
yang lepas kita perlu menjaga dan membelainya dengan manja bersama tetapi
kali ini, setiap urusan penjagaan dan belaian manja akan di laksanakan
oleh saya sepenuhnya.

8. Akhir kata, saya harap permohonan saya ini dapat dibalas secepat
mungkin. Semoga kita bersama-bersama dengan pihak ketiga akan dapat
melaksanakan program ini dengan jayanya.

AN EULOGY

My father passed away yesterday.

The news was a shocked to me as to my other brothers.

This is a man, who left my mum when I was barely 3 months old for another woman. My mum has put him through schools and university, left all four of us for another university gal.

That was 31 years ago….and Allah has taken him to his final resting place.

He suffered diabetes for the past 11 years, had only three toes on his right leg for the past 4 years. Due to his condition, he was bedridden at the hospital for 16 months. His current wife, left him…left the house with all the children, leaving him to fend on his own.

We only knew about this almost 100 days ago, I visited him once, my wife and maid cleaned up the house and he was happy about this. He called me up and we chatted for almost a hour, talking about building a koi pond and clean up his other house. He chided that he was lonely and laments his errors. We laughed and that was that. That was the last time we ever spoke. I called him twice after that, but he didn’t answer.

So, here I am trying to write about a man who I hardly know.

He was well loved by his friends, there were more than 100 of his old colleagues who came and watched his burials. Everybody said that he was a decent man, a man of good principle and a great sense of humour.

He was an artist in own his right. A true slave to his art, he would toils for days coming up with the best sajak, puisi and working paper about current issues. Using his pen name, Mas Aduka, his poem is edged unto a stone in the centre of Miri Town, in recognisition of his effort about MIri.

He was a great teacher. One of teacher in secondary school once told me that because of my dad, he became inspired to become a teacher. I was proud then, I am still proud now.

Though I hardly know him in a full sense of a father, we met up several times in our lifetime. I never grew any attachment to him, yet I loved him. I yearned for him to love us back too….but it was not to be.

With tears in my eyes as I wrote this, I am sorry dad.

I am sorry for not doing my duty as a son to you.

I am sorry that you had to die alone, accompanied by your friends instead of your family members.

I am sorry for never telling you that I love you.

I am sorry for not being there when you probably needed me the most.

I am sorry for not doing enough to care for you in you dying days.

I am sorry for not telling you that I am proud of your achievements.

I am sorry….

I bathed, wrapped him in a linen cloth, put perfume on his eyebrow and hair, shouldered his coffin, prayed and placed him in his grave yesterday. I never looked at him with more love in my whole life, constantly praying that he will be placed in heaven.

As I washed his lifeless body, i couldn’t stop saying I am sorry to him, I kissed him countless time on his forehead…and I whispered to his ear that I love him, thank you for bringing me to this world.

A day has passed and I missed him already.

If only there were time….i would have taken him to see my mum, see my house, really get to know him, we may have our differences but I would like to bridge that.

Alas, it was not to be, as I recalled his face the last time we met, he was full of smiles.

May you still be smiling dad, for I will stop sending Al-Fatihah to you as along as l live.

Good bye….may we be joined again in a much happier circumstances.

Ceramah Lawyer Zulkifli Noordin(Kes Murtad)

Bismilah hirrahmannirrahim,

Sekarang ni orang kita dok kecoh sangat pasai cerita siti nor haliza nak kawin dengan dato k. cerita berapahantaran, cerita sapa nak reka kasut kawin ct, cerita naik kereta kuda pusing klcc la, dsb. Dalam pada tu terselit juga cerita ex-wife dato' k saman harta sepencarian rm7 juta. Internet pun heboh dok tunjuk gambar-gambar lama dato' k, dan yang best sekali gambar2 anak2 dato' k yang berhingus tu dok pelukawek. Orang kata - bukan aku kata - 'like father like son'. Aku no komen, sebab aku don't give a damn.

Mungkin kita boleh tunggu komen ct nanti.

tapi bab ni, 180 darjah punya turning dari cerita dato k vs ct ni, kita semua patut 'give a damn', patut ambik tau, patut pikiaq masak2, dan patut buat apa yang patut. Ni kisah melayu jawa, yang menggadaikan agama Islam demi cintanya kepada seorang lelaki India kristian. Kesian sungguh tuan haji jelani dan puan hajjah kalsom yang terpaksa bersengkang mata menjaga kerenah anak mereka ketika baru lahir 42 tahun dulu.

La ni, anak yang dibesarkan dengan penuh suasana keislaman itu sudah terang2 menolak agama yang diajar kepadanya dan terus mengenepikan ibubapa yang membesarkannya hanya kerana cintanya pada seorang lelaki dan mahu pula menukar nama dalam i/c dari
azlina binti jelani kepada 'lina joy' sahaja. Agama islam ynag tercatat pada i/c nya pula mahu digantidengan perkataan 'kristian'.

Astaghfirullahul azim.

Lepas solat maghrib tadi, aku dan orang rumah cepat ke surau al-islah di taman kajang mewah, kajang, sebab nak dengar ceramah lawyer terkenal sdr zulkifli nordin
(dulu lawyer kepada kes fitnah liwat anwar ibrahim).

Bila kami sampai, ceramah baru start dalam lima minit ada la kot. Jadi apa yang aku nak tulih ni cerita yang sikit sebanyak dapat aku catatkan dari ceramah beliau, sebaik yang boleh. Kalau ada fakta yang tak betul tu, harap dapat betulkan dan aku terlebih dahulu minta maaf. Ceramah malam tadi berkisar kepada kes lina joy ni lah.

Bila aku sampai, penceramah dok tengah buka cerita lama (sebab orang melayu mudah lupa kot) iaitu cerita pasal kes natrah yang berlaku tahun 1950. masa tu malaya masih lagi bawah orang putih dan hakim semuadok pakai wig lagi. Kes natrah ni aku mis hujung pangkal dia tapi kalau tak silap kes penjagaan natrah ni la, antara islam dan kristian. Masa kes ni berjalan orang melayu zaman tu di singapura - melayu umno - punya la sensitif dengan masa depan natrah, takut dia dimurtadkan berkumpul dan berdemontrasi la kot, tapi khabarnya dalam mempertahankan akidah natrah,
"mahkamah di singapura dibanjiri darah".

Melayu sekarang ada berani ka? Kalau nak tau baca lagi.... panjang lagi ceramah zulkifli nordin ni (2 jam) dan aku pun aku tulis panjang macam novel jugak la kot.

Lepas natrah, zulkifli nordin bangkitkan pula cerita kes suzy teoh yang peluk islam semasa 16 tahun. Ni dia tak sebut pulak tahu bila, tapi aku rasa 80an kot, sebab aku rasa tun salleh abbas pernah handle kes ni. Walaupun mufti kelantan masa tu mengatakan islam suzyadalah sah sebab beliau sudah akil baligh, tapi undang2 sivil tetap refer pada kes natrah dan menyatakan suzy teoh tak boleh tukar agama sebab kurang dari 18 tahun, dan tak ada agreement dari parents dia. Kata zulkifli nordin, itu adalah undang penjajah yang kita warisi, tetapi kalau undang2 islam, ianya dibuat berdasarkan ijtihad hakim.

Lepas tu masuk kes halimatun saadiah pulak, kes ni tahun 1983. dalam kes ni hakim kata tak boleh pakai purdah. Haramkan pakai purdah. Pun tak detail sangat,tapi aku rasa ni kes student u yang kena buang sebabpakai purdah kot. Manalah aku tau kes ni kes apa sebabaku kecik lagi masa tu dan tak baca paper tiap2 hari macam la ni.

Lepas tu dia sambung pulak dengan kes serban baru2 ni... hampa semua mesti tau kalau baca surathabaq. Kes ni kata zulkifli nordin akan terus menetapkan bahawa haram orang islam pakai serban di sekolah dan tempat2tertentu, yang boleh mungkin pakai pi surau atau pi melawat orang mati jer kot. Hah, macam tu punya teruk ka?

Pas tu dia masuk kes jamaluddin osman pulak (1986) yang mana beliau masuk kristian dan jadi paderi di PJ dengan nama joshua. Beliau ditangkap bawah ISA dan kumpulan pendesak kristian cabar kes ni di mahkamah dan guna artikel 11 (dalam perlembagaan persekutuan)kebebasan beragama. Keputusannya mahkamah menangkan puak kristian dan kata akta keselamatan tak boleh halang hak jamaludin untuk beragama. Akibatnya,kata zulkifli nordin, lepas kes ni polis dah tak buat apa-apa lagi kalau ada kes macam ni. Polis kena ikut undang2.

Dia tambah lagi, yang terkini pagi tadi (22 july 2006) katanya lebih 100 kafirun berkumpul di JB bincang pasal agama islam. Lawyer ni kata polis tak boleh buat apa sebab 1986 punya kes dah kata tak boleh kacau. Kalau kacau, nanti kata polis nak guna akta keselamatan nak sekat kebebasan beragama pulak.

1997, mesti ramai ingat, kes aisyah bukhari. Sedap namanya, aisyah. Dalam kes aisyah ni puak kristian minta pertolongan mahkamah lagi, sebab depa tau depa boleh guna undang2. zainur zakaria kata, masa kes aisyah tu kalau islam kalah, puak2 kafirun mesti naik kepala punya, tapi menteri agama masa tu hamid othman kata "biaq pi lah, sorang saja melayu".

Tu dia, 1997, "sorang saja melayu" cuba hampa pikiaq, kalau mufti perak ni cakap la ni ada 100,000 orang melayu murtad dan tunggu nak declare depa murtad macam? Apa, tak pecaya kata2 mufti perak? Dia tak tau hukum haram halal ka kalau dia cakap bohong. Kata ustaz zulkifli nordin lagi ni semua berlaku sebab kita sendiri yang biarkan berlaku. Biaq pi lah....

Tahun 1988, siapa tak ingat kes hartina kamarudin? La ni dia dah pakai nama hindu dah, Devashini. Astaghfirullahul azim! Ni pun pasai kawin dengan lelaki hindu. Dalam kes ni, yang tragisnya ayah hartina yang ditangkap kerana mencederakan lelaki hindu yang memurtadkan anak kesayangan yang ditatang dari kecil itu. Bayangkanlah!

Baru2 ni pulak kata penceramah ni, ada lagi satu kes di flet pekeliling di mana pemuda2 hindu memecahkan rumah dan melarikan anak gadis yang disembunyi olehibunya demi menyelamatkan akidah anaknya. "orang melayu tak buat apa2 pun, dan orang bukan islam bermaharajalela," kata zulkifli lagi. "melayu tak kisah, asalkan tak kena kepala dia".

Katanya lagi, orang melayu pada tahap yang paling kritikal sekarang sampai orang bukan islam boleh pecah rumah rampas anak pun orang melayu masih seronok dengan kemewahan dunia.

Berbalik kepada kes azlina joy, memanglah katanya ni hanya sekadar kes kad pengenalan. Azlina ni minta 3 perkara:
tukar nama buang tulisan islam dan ganti dengan kristian benarkan perkahwinan dia dan daftarkan di jabatan pendaftaran tapi alhmadulillah, pegawai islam jabatan pendaftaran reject permohonan dia.

Bila reject dan dia bawa mahkamah, tup2 13 NGOs sokong dia.NGO-NGO ni bising sungguh sebab depa ni la yang kuasai media.NGO tu yang aku ingat ialah aliran,suaram, hakam, NWCO, WAO, WO, bar council, majlis perundingan agama, majlis hindu sanggam, majlis
catholic, dan yang sama kuat bising ialah melayu2 SISTERS IN ISLAM (anak murid amina wadud ni).

Katanya pagi tadi puak2 NGO ni berkumpul di johor dok hentam islam lah agenda depa. NGO ni walaupun sikit,tapi 'kabel besar'. Depa ni yang NGO kafirun ni dok sibuk memperkudakan SIS. Sisters in Islam ni katanyawalaupun dikenali sebagai NGO tetapi mereka sebenarnyaadalah syarikat dengan 18 ahli lembaga pengarah. Boss SIS ni zainah anwar siapa yang tak kenal, dan kakak dia pulak zarinah anwar pun orang besar securities commission ka apa.

Antara orang kuat SIS ni tak lain tak bukan anak2 perdana menteri hadhari kita. Marina anak mahathir,nori anak pak lah, dan anak tun Hussein onn. Anak siapa? Ha, tu dia punya nala punya cable kalau TNB tengok pun menangis. So, balik pada meeting puak2 ni di johor pagi tadi, tengku mahkota johor kata 'JANGAN BAGI'. Polis cakap kat putera sultan ni, "Tuanku, Dato' Nazri bagi tuanku..."

Tengku mahkota tanya kenapa? Polis jawab sebab anak PM duduk dalam tu. Malahan nazri orang kuat ameno ni mintak pulak polis jaga keselamatan kalau ada orang demonstrasi nak halang mesyuarat tu macam kat penang bulan lepas. Alhamdulillah, walaupun ada orang mai protest meeting tu, ketua polis johor dato' hussin ismail kata kalau boleh jangan tangkap geng penentang kumpulan article 11 ni.

Mai tang bab ni zulkifli nordin main hentam terus ameno. Ni la terus terang aku dengaq orang maki ameno dalam surau secara terang-terangan. Baguih la, zulkifli nordin kata satu hari nanti dia akan mati juga dan dia kena jawab dengan allah, buat apa dia nak takut.

Dia kata: "Barua-barua Umno macam nazri biadap. Ramai orang umno tak tau. Kesian orang umno (yang lurus bendul) sebab depa tak tau menteri depa macam tu".

Dia kata, semalam nazri ada kata dalam bar council meeting: "saya menteri, saya jaga awak". 'Awak' ni puak2 bar council yang pro article 11 yang diperjuangkan kafirun ni la. Nazri dengan angkuhnya tambah lagi: "awak jangan bimbang, pak lah dalam poket
saya".

Marah sungguh saudara zulkifli nordin kita. "Tuan2 mesti ingat, ini menteri umno pengkhianat bangsa, termasuklah zaid (ibrahim). Kalau tuan2 dalam umno, buang orang2 ni, ataupun esok (bila mati la) jawab dengan Allah"

"jangan kerana tembolok dan kain batik takut kepada pemimpin. Dulu umno 1950 berani lawan kes natrah, tapila ni tunggu kontrek. Jangan biar anak2 cucu kita ludah kita (suatu hari nanti).

"DULU DEPA PERTAHANKAN NATRAH, BERAPA RAMAI YANG DADA BERSARANG DENGAN PELURU, 13 ORANG DIGANTUNG SAMPAI MATI.."

"DARAH MENGALIR DI MAHKAMAH SINGAPURA SEBAB PERTAHANKAN KES NATRAH. BUKAN PERTAHANKAN KONTREK TAPI PERTAHANKAN AKIDAH."

Bila dia cerita tang bab ni, aku rasa nak menitis ayaq mata. Memang jauh sungguh iman kita dengan orang melayu dulu, depa sanggup mati mempertahankan agama.
Kita, pengecut semuanya. Pikiaq anak, pikiaq bini, pikiaq instalment rumah, duit kereta, duit tu, duit ni.... Duit, duit, duit.... Cinta dunia dan takutkan mati.
Tu la kita hari ni.

Dia sambung lagi... tangan aku pun lenguh menulis dah, tapi aku belum nak surrender. Kalau pen habis ink baru ler aku surrender. ni baru angkat pen, bukan angkat pedang brader...

Katanya bila mufti perak cuba pertahankan islam, dia dimaki oleh rais yatim, nazri dan Abdullah mat zin (menteri umno ler tu, kalau korang tak kenal).

"kenapa orang umno duduk diam dan kata padan muka(pada ustaz harussani). Malahan ada pulak mufti(negeri lain) yang marah kat dia, sound dia kenapa jolok sarang tebuan".

DATO' SERI HARUSSANI MENANGIS tuan2 dan puan2...menangis sebab dia dedahkan 100,000 orang melayu murtad, dia kena tempelak dengan menteri dan mufti2 lain. Kata zulkifli nordin kata mufti marah2 kat harussani sebab takut periuk nasi depa masuk pasir la
kot. Ustaz harussani ni sepatutnya dipertahankan oleh menteri dan mufti2 lain, bukannya ditempelak sebegitu rupa.

Berbalik kepada isu azlina joy, walaupun ni kes IC kat mahkamah persekutuan nampak macam kes kecik, tapi impaknya amat besar. Dulu mahkamah tinggi dah tolak permintaan azlina joy ni atas alasan kes ni mesti dibicarakan di mahkamah syariah. Kata zulkifli, NGO kafir boleh berhujah. Depa guna Artikel 11 perlembagaan persekutuan. Artikel tu kata "every person has the right to profess & practice the religion". Semua orang ada hak untuk memilih dan mengamalkan agama.

Tapi hujah defend kata kalau agama hampa kata boleh murtad, murtadlah. Tapi bagi yang beragama islam, mana boleh murtad sebab undang2 agama islam kata tak boleh murtad. Orang islam tertakluk kepada undang2 islam.

Tang ni, cyrus das, lawyer kapiaq yang mewakili lina joy dengan bangganya menghina islam. Katanya "sudah sampai masanya orang islam di Malaysia disedarkan bahawa Malaysia bukanlah negara islam tetapi adalah negara secular. Dan undang2 islam adalah berada dibawah tapak kaki undang2 negara (perlembagaan persekutuan)".

Puak kafirun dok pertahankan yang hak beragama adalah hak individu, so terpulanglah agama apa pun nak dianuti.

Zulkifli nordin kata mahkamah boleh menangkan lina joy atas beberapa sebab:
merujuk kes dulu2 cara hakim tanya soalan pun dah tau, jangan percaya hakim melayu

kata zulkifli nordin, dalam kes meor habiburrahman, hakimnya adalah hakim melayu. Dalam kes serban, hakimmelayu. Dalam kes purdah, hakim melayu. Kes islam(agama rasmi) sekadar sebagai agama istiadat, pun hakim melayu. Kes jamaludin paderi besar pun hakim melayu.

Tambah lawyer bekas exco umno ni, kalau agama dianggap hak individu dan lina joy menang, lepas ni setiap invidu boleh buat apa saja. "sesiapa saja boleh tentukan dia nak anut agama apa, dan dia boleh tentukan bila dia nak murtad".

Lagi kesan kepada kemenangan lina joy ialah:

Artikel 160 perlembagaan persekutuan yang mengatakan melayu itu islam dah tak relevan. So melayu dah tak wujud semua hak istimewa melayu (AP, permit, biasiswa)
terhapus dengan sendirinya sebab melayu dah tak wujud yang no 3 tak sempat pulak aku nak catit (lenguh tangan wei...), ooo begini, kalau boleh senang2 murtad, orang melayu yang didakwa kes fardu ain (tak posa ke)atau kes melacur ke, boleh kata dia murtad dan bila lepas keluar mahkamah mengaku le islam balik.

Tambah zulkifli nordin lagi, kalau ada masa pergi la mahkamah syariah KL pagi isnin dan tengok la ramainya anak gadis melayu berbaris kat mahkamah. Katanya depa ni nampak elok jer pi mahkamah syariah pakai tudung,tapi sebenarnya PELACUR @ PROSTITUTE @ HOOKER @ SLUT(hat @ ni aku tambah).

Dia kata dengan undang2 sekarang pun apa susah, bila hakim baca pertuduhan, tanya salah ke tak, depa dengan senang hati jawab salah la yang arif. Hakim kata betul
ke kamu faham ni sebab mengaku salah melacur boleh kena penjara 6 bulan atau denda rm3,000, depa jawab faham tapi minta ringankan hukuman.

Bila hakim kata ok lah, aku denda hang rm1,500 saja, depa sorak yeeee (aku tambah le ni)... depa keluar pi jumpa bapak ayam tokey cina kat luar mahkamah ambik duit bayaq. Sedih sungguh sebab maruah anak2 melayu islam kita boleh diperdagangkan sebegitu mudah. Umno buat apa? Zulkifli nordin kata diam saja, sesekali boleh gak 'pakai'.

Tapi itu cerita di mahkamah syariah. Dosa memang dosa,tapi akidah tak terjejas lagi. Tapi kalau kes yang sama di mahkamah persekutuan, minah yang sama bila dituduh dengan senang boleh elak hukuman kalu dia cakap, "saya dah murtad" atau "saya bukannya lagi Islam". Ha, ni la kesan dari kes lina joy kalau kita tak perhati dari la ni. Orang boleh keluar masuk islam sesuka hati depa saja.

Tambahnya dalam kes kamariah ali pengikut ayah pin,sebab dia dah mengaku murtad di mahkamah syariah, tak boleh nak buat apa apa la. Sekarang status tak clear, so kena tengok apa kata keputusan kes lina joy. Kalau lina joy menang, lepas le kamariah ali sebab dia dah murtad, mahkamah tak boleh hukum dia.

Kamariah ali ni bukan calang orang. Mengaji kat nilam puri, sambung kat universiti al azhar (ada siapa yang tak pernah dengar nama universiti ni???) tahun 60an dulu dan pernah jadi ketua biro dakwah. Dia kawin dengan ustaz mohamad ya, azhar jugak kot (tak sure).Bila balik Malaysia pi kerja di Sarawak (untuk berdakwah la tu) tapi balik semenanjung, dua2 jadi pengikut ayah pin.

KALAU USTAZ / USTAZAH AL AZHAR BOLEH MURTAD, MACAM
MANA KITA???

Berbalik kepada isu Lina Joy, lawyer zulkifli nordin ini mengingatkan beberapa bala yang bakal menimpa umat islam malaysia sekirannya mahkamah memihak kepada si murtad ni. Pertamanya, melayu akan pupus. Sebabnya,bila melayu dah declare bukan islam, dan islam tak ada kena mengena dengan melayu, lama2 pupus lah melayu.

Keduanya, orang islam senang2 boleh mengaku murtad bila kena dakwa di mahkamah, dan bila dilepaskan(camana nak bicara, dah kapiaq dah) boleh masuk islam balik. Janji tak kena denda atau penjara. Maknanya,senang sungguh depa nak mempermainkan islam.
Seterusnya, yang lebih bahaya kata ustaz zulkifli nordin, bila keputusan kes ini akan membenarkan orang2 kafir membuat tafsiran terhadap undang2 islam. Since perbicaraan bukan dalam mahkamah syariah, dalam kes lina joy, orang kafir senang2 kata undang2 murtad tu salah, yang betul ialah perlembagaan persekutuan dan hak asasi manusia.

Tambahnya, bukan kerjaorang kafir nak kata orang islam tak boleh pakai serban, tak boleh pakai purdah atau apa, sebab bicara kes ni bukan dalam mahkamah syariah.
Tapi, lebih menyedihkan, katanya keputusan pengharaman serban dan purdah keluar dari mulut hakim melayu.

Katanya, dalam kes meor habiburrahman, si bapak hakim buat tafsiran "ikut kepala bapaknya". Ada ka hakim kata dia buat keputusan merujuk kepada "pemerhatian"
dia, dan bukannya merujuk kepada quran atau hadis. Ada ka logik dalam membuat keputusan mengenai serban, dia kata, "saya rasa, saya pi mekah tengok budak2 arab tak pakai serban pun."

"saya perhati mufti tak pakai serban pun..." kata hakim kes serban ni. Tak logik dia tak tau yang tak bagi mufti pakai serban ialah kerajaan sendiri.

Peguam ni tambah lagi, la ni ramai ustaz2 sanggup pakai songkok saja atau pakai kot saja untuk syarat layak keluar tv.
Sebab depa ni sekadar pakai songkok atau ada yang tak pakai lansung, malah pakai kot, maka si hakim yang handle kes serban baru2 ni kata: "tengok... so and so mana ada pakai serban pun". Katanya, inilah yang berlaku kalau ustaz2 pun terlalu cintakan dunia (duit ler brader, RM) sehingga sanggup menjadikan diri mereka sasaran fitnah.

"hakim tu hina rasulallah, sampai dia kata tak semua yang nabi buat tu kita kena ikut. Contohnya kalau rasulullah duduk dalam rumah tanah liat, naik unta, gosok gigi guna kayu, tak kan kita nak ikut..."
Tak cukup penghinaan tu, hakim tu terang2 tambah, "adakah mulia mereka yang ikut muhammad duduk dalam rumah tanah liat berbanding dengan rumah batu? Adakah mulia mereka yang naik unta," cerita bekas lawyer pak sheikh ni, marah sungguh dia dengan mulut celupar hakim ntah apa ke nama yang handle kes serban baru-baru ni.

Tambah zulkifli nordin, kalau ikut kitab mustika hadis, orang yang hina rasulallah macam tu dah kira murtad.

Pasal cerita serban ni, ustaz zulkifli bagitau dia ada dalam satu majlis yang turut dihadiri oleh dr mashitah ibrahim (ustazah glamer rumput carpet) kata kes serban ni "tak ada apa2". tapi dia tak tau saya pun ada dalam majlis tu dan akan bagi ceramah seterusnya, jadi bila dia (ustazah mashitah) tau saya ada di situ, cepat2 dia nak cabut balik. Saya kata jangan balik dulu. "saya marah sungguh sebab mashitah ibrahim ni nak tipu bangsa sendiri," kata zulkifli nordin.

Katanya dia pun heran kenapa orang2 bijak pandai agama boleh bersekongkol dengan hakim yang buat keputusan yang menghina islam dan rasulallah macam tu.

Kalau islam dah senang2 boleh ditafsir sendiri,hilanglah hak penjagaan anak kita, katanya dalam ceramah yang dihadiri oleh kira2 300 orang tu.Contohnya, kalau kita suruh anak kita sembahyang dananak kita tak mau sembahyang dgn alasan tertentu,kalau kita paksa jugak dia boleh pi bagitau NGO dan mahkamah ada kuasa bagitau tuan/puan yang tuan/puan tak boleh paksa anak tuan bersembahyang sebab undang2 kata macam tu.

"sebab itulah orang kafir tunggu sangat kes lina joy ni," katanya. Tambah penceramah ni, sampai 13 peguam wakil kes ni, yang terdiri dari 11 NGOs semuanya datang dengan lawyer. Tak cukup dengan NGO-NGO tu, ada lagi wakil dari kedutaan Perancis, Australia, Kanada.

Wakil hak asasi manusia Amnesty International pun ada.
Katanya kalau nak tau who's who yang defend / sekongkol dengan lina joy laknatullah ni, rujuklah laman web www.bracketfund.com.

"KITA MESTI MENANG KES INI UNTUK CENGKAM BANGSA MELAYU. KALAU MENANG KES NI, ANAK-ANAK MELAYU TERBUKA UNTUK DIKRISTIANKAN," cerita zulkifli nordin, orang yang lama dan masak dengan selok-belok undang ni.

Katanya, buat masa ni, masih susah lagi orang nakmurtadkan anak2 melayu sebab mereka masih lagi dalamjagaan mak bapak.Beliau turut mempersoalkan berapa banyak RM orang melayu islam sumbangkan untuk lawan kes azlina jelani ni sebab orang bukan islam dah
berjaya dapatkan lebih USD 4 million untuk kes ni. Nak bayar lawyer dll. Katanya lagi, pada peringkat antarabangsa orang2 kafir sangat ambil berat kes ni .

kalau tak percaya jugak, katanya tengok website www.sydneyamerican.net, ada dalam tu kata "kita tunggu peluang nak serang melayu" (nak murtadkan melayu yang islam lah). Katanya, nama azhar mansur pun ada dalam website tu.

Alhamdulillah, sekarang ni peguam2 melayu dah tampil kehadapan, tubuhkan Badan Peguam Pembela Islam (PPI). "lawyer kita cuba nak lawan".

Beliau turut menasihatkan orang2 melayu hari ini yang berada diperingkat akar umbi - kita ni lah - supaya bangkit sebab mahkamah akan buat keputusan tak sampai 6 minggu saja lagi. Pejam celik, keputusan dah keluar,dan kalau kita tak berbuat sesuatu, tandatangani petisyen ka, solat hajat ka, pas tu kalah tok sah dok salahkan orang lain lah.

"kita dah tak ada masa nak minta tolong umno ka, siapaka, sebab tu lah lawyer-lawyer melayu mula bersatu."Zulkifli nordin kata setakat ni ada 68 NGO melayu dah menyatakan sokongan kepada perjuangan PPI, termasuklah abim, JIM, perkim, persatuan ulama. Pekida pun join sama, alhamdulillah.

Katanya, lawyer2 islam malaysia ni mahukan Artikel 3 iaitu islam sebagai agama persekutuan dijadikan sebagai islam syariat. Bukan takat baca doa masa opening ceremony atau tahlil orang mati saja. Artikel 11 pulak, kata lawyer ni, mesti ditambah 11(a) ka apa,supaya kebebasan beragama itu (keluar masuk agama)tidak terpakai kepada orang Melayu / Islam. Artikel 4 pulak, katanya, lawyer2 ni dah kaji dan mahukan ia ditambah. Kalau sekarang kata orang bukan islam tak boleh dakwah dengan orang islam, in future nak tambah sikit lagi, kalau dakwah jugak, ada hukumannya.

Beliau juga memetik kata2 imam besar imam ghazali:"kalau kita nak tengok nasib bangsa akan dating,tengoklah diri kita hari ini." Katanya 50 tahun dulu orang islam masih ada sensitivity dalam kes natrah pun, la ni dah jadi lagu ni. Lagi 40 tahun tak tau la macam mana.

Beliau turut berpesan, tolonglah masuk myislamnetwork website dan print maklumat dalam tu, kemudian sebarkan di kawasan2 kejiranan, bagi kat kawan2 ke. Lagi satu,
dia minta kita pakat2 turun tandatangan, sebab dulu geng2 kafir pendokong lina joy ni berjaya mendapat 50,000 tandatangan meminta supaya Artikel 11 perlembagaan persekutuan tidak lagi memihak kepada orang melayu islam.

Katanya, bila sign petition tu, jangan takat bubuh nama 'Hamba Allah' tapi tulih nama sendiri dan bagi henfon sekali. Nak takut apa, kalau yang ni pun tak boleh, macam mana nak berjihad? So, kalau orang cek nama ali bin abu, dia memang betul2 wujud, baru ada credibility."biar Allah tengok nama kita ada dalam ni," katanya sambil mengedar borang petition kat surau al islah malam tu. Katanya jangan la dok takut SB bacaka, pasai masa depan islam kat malaysia dah kritikal sangat dah, dan kita kenalah berbuat sesuatu.

Kemudian, zulkifli nordin bagitau yang beberapa orang sultan - johor, selangor, terengganu, perak - dah mula memberi reaksi positif kepada perjuangan lawyer2 islam
hari ni. Katanya, sultan selangor cakap secara terbuka mengenai isu ni dalam majlis penutup tilawah al quran baru baru ni. Alhamdulillah, sultan selangor ambil berat. So, sembahyang jumaat nanti, kalau tok khatib doakan sultan selangor ni, aku cadangkan korang amin la kuat2 sikit. Mudah2an allah memberi hidayah kepada sultan2 melayu ni. Kalau depa sokong, insya'allah, mereka pasti tetap relevant pada mata rakyat.

Beliau turut mengingatkan orang melayu supaya bangkit dari zon selesa. "saya minta orang2 umno bangkit,sebab dah lama dah mereka (orang bawahan) ditipu.
Sekarang bangkitlah pertahankan melayu." Zulkiflinordin minta la siapa2 yang ada masa boleh tolong jadi sukarelawan dalam tempoh singkat ni. Lawyer2 dan NGO2 melayu islam dok sibuk dok bagi ceramah sana sini,bantu lah jadi drebar ka, tukang taip ka, jaga ofis ka. Keselamatan penceramah pun nak kena jaga. La ni katanya, budak UPM yang dok ramai jadi sukarelawan ni,walaupun depa sibuk dengan kelas, tapi depa sanggup.

Alhamdullilah. Katanya bukalah website sebab dalam website PPI tu ada minta macam2 pekerja sukarela, so bagitaulah macam mana boleh tolong.

Habis ceramah, masa sessi soal jawab, ada sorang tanya: "apa pendirian pak lah?" aku tak berapa ingat jawapan dia sebab pen aku dah berjalan bersama kertas petisyen, tapi jawapan zulkifli nordin lebih kurang kata pak lah tak ambik berat sangat dan anak dia nori pun dalam sisters in islam (badan yang kuat menyokong geng artikel 11). So macam, mana?

Itulah saja yang aku dapat, lenguh tangan aku tulih nota ceramah tu, taip balik 4 jam baru siap. Korang baca dan edarkanlah supaya orang kita mendapat kesedaran dari ceramah saudara zulkifli nordin ni. Dia dah banyak berkorban, tuan2 pun mesti boleh kalau percaya usaha kita ini akan dapat membantu menyelamatkan akidah anak2 kita, anak2 jiran kita, anak2 kawan kita, dan semua anak orang islam di negara ini. Amin.

Alhamdulillah, the project that we worked hard to secure for the past 3 months has been awarded to us. Not only did we fight a fair fight, we fight a good fight as well. Tak ada cut corners mana2..

So, naturally kena bekejar sana-sini, carik material dan credits. Project of this scale, requires at least RM300K to ensure a smooth flow of the whole proceeding, mana la aku ada RM300K dlm bank….dah la akaun company tak pernah audit sejak 2002, macamana lak nak hantar bank mintak financing…kepala pun pening, ada gak org baik hati nak propose inject funds, so it is welcome.

Enough of that…

Lo and behold, earlier this year I wrote about the shambles of FAM, and true to latest FAM rankings, Malaysia is ranked at number 146 in the world. Hooray…we are breaking into new barriers!! We are now behind St.Kitts and Nieve and some back water countries. This is a true achievement of a governing body that is given RM6M grant by the govt. every year.

While many argued…oh it is not the fault of FAM alone, they are just a regulatory body. Enough bull la, what some Ministers in the Parliament is asking now is that the FAM Secretariat is to resign, aiyo…why only the secretary? The President, Vice-President resign la sekali…..lama sangat dah, kalau makin maju..ok la jugak tapi makin mundur, public sokong myteam dari M’sian team!!

Nak kata salah FAM totally pun tak betul jugak, salah Ministry of Education pun ada, salah direction Kementerian Sukan dan Belia. Why I say that? During my time as a school kid, there were 6-8 subjects during my primary schools spread evenly throughout the week, leaving 1 hour of physical education, if you are selected for the school team, a half day off.

La nie..subject kat sekolah terlalu banyak, buang padang kasik bikin computer lab, pusat sumber. Well, all that is good...tapi mana prinsip, healthy minds come from healthy bodies? Ada sekolah bersenam dalam kelas aje, apakejadahnya semua ini??

Dalam masa yang sama, ada menteri yg hairan kenapa budak2 di sekolah dalam kategori obesiti..mana tak obese kalau senam langsung tak ada, rumah flat, balik rumah sebat tido, mak bapak pun kaki malas bersenam, maka anak2 tak ada cardio exercise, kat sekolah pun sama, masa PE tinggal 30 minit, apa boleh buat, maka anak2 ini berlarilah setempat utk 5 minit, berpeluh la sedikit...adakah ini mencukupi?

Mestilah tak cukup, kekadang aku tak faham apa yg MOE kita nak kejar agaknya? Adakah bila kita ada student score 15A-18A masa SPM, justly indicate that we are a developed country? I beg to differ….Singapore adopted A-Level as the yardstick for University entrance, widely recognized throughout the world.

How many subject in A-level? Minimum 3 ….maximum 5(I think), just imagine studying 3 subjects for 2 years prepping for the subject. Barulah faham subject yg dipelajari bukan macam budak sekolah sekarang yg scratch the suface aje.

Tu sebab banyak masalah social, tak faham fungsi diri dia dalam society, maka terjebak la dalam Black Metal, berpeleseran la di shopping Mall, naik motor ramai2 berkonvoi sana sini, rasa hebat RX-Z berbunyi bingit di pagi buta. Yang bodohnya teramat, budak2 nie rata2nya sama kulit dgn aku, MELAYU yg bengap!!

MELAYU yg bodoh main moto hingga ke pagi buta, entah apa natijahnya...bila dah ramai, ada lak yg kaki cadang masuk nite club, disco....minum la todi...terbaik!!

Malas la nak citer...sebab memang terasa bodohnya, sama la dgn sesetengah Menteri yg kita ada, cakap macam org tak ada pelajaran sebab ada antara mereka keluar statement cuba memperbodohkan org lain, akhirnya dia nampak bodoh? Ingat Datuk Syed kes ”Tutup Sebelah Mata”, Ingat Samy Vellu dan statement ”kereta lembunya”, ingat Lim Keng Yaik dan statement ” Kayu balah=kayu balak?”

Peh ..bestnya duduk Malaysia!!!

A long time off…will be best to describe my extended hiatus from the blog.

Well, got busy with the recent world cup, my biggest contract break since I am self employed, issues in life and my education.

The world cup?

I has the tiniest feeling that Italy gonna win the World Cup prior to the actual world cup itself because bookies like history repeating itself. Back in 1982, when Italy last won the Cup, they had the same issues back home, foot balling scandals, fears of relegation, …so what goes around, come around.

Both of my team, Argentina and England, were dumped out of the tournament early due to suicidal tactics and substitutions. There were no reasons whatsoever to substitute Riquelme with 18 minutes to go because he is an excellent holder of the ball, to replace Hernan Crespo is another weird decision, Messi was not let loose over the Germans.

As for England, what more can be said on the most over-rated team of all time! Just because the EPL is considered the best League in the world, doesn’t mean the English are better at the game.

Well, perhaps they are…they have two best midfielders in the world, Gerrard and Lampard, but the coach has little idea on how to play them together. Lampard was shit throughout the tournament, guess he only put on his best boots for Chelsea.

When the retirement of Beckham as Captain, there is no better candidate than Stevie G, and please don’t make John Terry the new Captain, he made two many blunders during the Ecuador game which almost cost the game…perhaps, I just hate Chelsea! So no Chelsea Captain!

Business wise?

Insya-Allah, next week…I will be getting quite a big job for the company. The whole year we geared for this, this will double our financial strength …all in a matter of one month.

There will be sweat and tears, heated argument and few laughs, but I know, I just know that it will be worth it. Huh…such optimism.

Life?

Today, as I parked my car….one orange Gen2 parked beside me, two Malay males in their 20s get off, the other switched from a co-driver to a driver while the other get ready to board the LRT.

All is fine…until the guy turned around and gave a huge French kiss to the driver for all the world to see!!

That was enough to make me visit the toilet due to heavy vomiting twice today!!

CATATAN SEORANG ISTERI TAHANAN ISA

BAHAGIAN 1: 11 JUN 2006

"Assalamualaikum !"
Aku terdengar suara orang memberi salam. Aku keluar dari bilik menuju ke pintu.Sebaik saja pintu dibuka, aku terkejut dan tergamam melihat suamiku tersenyum memandangku.
"Abang, bila abang balik? Bila abang sampai? Abang , is this really you? Betul ke abang dah bebas?" Soalku bertubi-tubi.Pintu sudah terbuka, tapi grill masih lagi berkunci.
"Polis tu letakkan abang dekat bus-stop seberang jalan tu tadi, terpaksa abang jalan kaki sikit untuk sampai kerumah… abang memang dah bebas …cepat la buka grill ni…abang dahaga la".
"Ok, ok, sabar ya. Ila sedang cari kunci grill ni…."
Aku kelam kabut mencari kunci rumah kerana disitu digandingkan sekali kunci grill. Puas ku cari, tapi tak jumpa juga. Sesekali ku melihat kearah suamiku yang sedang tersenyum..
"Abang, sorry ya , lambat sikit. Lupalah kat mana Ila letak kunci tu…tengah cari ni…." .Semua tempat telah diselongkar, dalam beg tangan, atas meja, dalam laci …. namun kunci itu tak juga ditemui.Aku mula menangis.
"Abang, I'm so sorry.I really misplaced the keys, let me think of some other ways…." air mataku mula bercucuran .

Tiba-tiba aku terjaga……

Astaghfirullah al Adzim, bermimpi rupanya. But everything looked so real!! Memang dia sudah pulang kerumah..Ya, aku memang menangis. Bantal ku juga terasa basah. Lantas aku baring semula, memejamkan mata, dengan harapan mimpiku bersambung, tapi….segalanya memang hanyalah sekadar mimpi.Akhirnya, yang terdaya aku lakukan hanyalah membiarkan saja deraian airmata yang turun dengan lajunya….

Kisah diatas adalah secuit dari ribuan kisah-kisah duka sepanjang suami ditahan di Kem Kamunting.Hingga saat ini,hampir 4 tahun lamanya ,sejak dia diambil dari rumah kami, dia tidak pernah pulang kerumah. Rindu? Tiada bahasa yang dapat diucapkan untuk menyatakan perasaan tersebut, hingga ada kalanya, seolah-olah aku takut untuk melihat potretnya, kerana terlalu khuatir, dia akan pulang kerumah dalam bentuk mimpi dan akhirnya, hanya linangan airmata yang setia untuk mengubati rindu ini.

Trauma

Pada tahun pertama penahanannya dulu, mimpi yang dialami amat menakutkan. Peristiwa rumah ku di kunjungi 15 orang SB dan polis waktu tengah malam, sentiasa datang berulangkali dalam tidur ku. Sejak hari pertama penahanannya, memang sukar untuk melelapkan mata. Sentiasa terbayang, bagaimana setiap bilik digeledah, suami digari , buku-buku , kitab-kitab ugama dan Quran terjemahan dikirai satu persatu untuk mencari bahan bukti.

Aku yakin, anak tunggal ku, Suhaib juga mengalami masaalah yang sama. Setiap malam beliau akan terjaga pada pukul 3 - 4 pagi dan menangis memanggil ayahnya.Pada masa itu, Suhaib berusia 8 tahun lebih. Dan yang lebih memeranjatkan, selama 2 tahun, Suhaib menyimpan sebatang besi panjang bulat sepanjang 3 kaki, dibawah tilamnya. Menurutnya, jika polis datang lagi kerumah untuk mengambil uminya, dia akan tikam polis itu dengan besi panjang tersebut!

Tidak dinafikan, mangsa penahanan ISA memang menghadapi trauma yang serius. Cuma, bagaimana masaalah tersebut dapat diatasi, bergantung pada kekuatan minda dan juga sokongan yang diberikan oleh masyarakat pada mangsa tersebut.

Dalam hal ini, aku rasa bersyukur kerana mempunyai ramai teman dan kenalan yang bersimpati dengan masaalah yang dihadapi. Namun kehidupan ku pada ketika itu hanyalah sekadar seorang isteri tahanan yang bekerjaya. Duniaku ketika itu hanyalah rumah dan tempat kerjaku.Tak pernah terfikir, aku akan melangkah ke satu dunia yang lain….

Gerakan Mansuhkan ISA (GMI)

GMI? Apa benda tu? Seumur hidup ,tak pernah dengar nama yang pelik tu. Sebelum ini, ada juga baca HARAKAH, tapi tak perasan pun ada perkataan GMI. Pertama kali mendengar nama itu disebutkan oleh seorang teman aktivis anti ISA, rasa semak perut rasanya. "Buat apalah nak sebuk-sebuk dengan GMI ni, sampai masa nanti suami kita tu akan dikeluarkan gak" begitulah komen seorang isteri tahanan ISA yang lebih 'senior' kerana suaminya ditahan 5 bulan lebih awal dari suami ku.

Bukan mudah untuk menguatkan minda bagi menghadapi hari-hari berikutnya tanpa insan bergelar suami. Rasa geram, marah, benci sentiasa meluap-luap didalam hati.Ke mana hendak disalurkan semua perasaan tersebut? Nak marah pada anak? Dia pun sedang mengalami perasaan yang sama. Akhirnya, aku ingin mencuba nasib mengikuti aktivis ISA bersama GMI. Pertama kali menghadiri sidang akhbar dan mesyuarat, aku rasa macam buang masa je. Buang masa menunggu! Menunggu kawan-kawan, menunggu wakil Suhakam, menunggu peguam, menunggu wartawan dan pelbagai menunggu lagi.Tapi, aku rasa agak pelik, kenapa aktivis ISA ni macam tak serik-serik menunggu ni?

6 Reformasi.

Semasa aku menyertai GMI, semua orang pada masa itu sedang sebok berkempen untuk 6 reformasi. Selalu aku rasa "out of place" je. Orang tak kenal kita pun. Nasib baik ada Nashita dan Kak Jije. Beberapa orang isteri tahanan reformasi 6 kata, aku macam kembar dengan Nashita. Ah, tak kisahlah. Yang penting ada orang yang sudi nak bercakap dengan ku.Itu dah cukup baik!

Bila Pak Abu @ Saari Sungib @ Abu Urwah dan 5 Reformasi lain dibebaskan, aku bertambah yakin, dengan berkempen dan menghebahkan kezaliman ISA, akan memberi peluang tahanan dibebaskan. Sebelum ini, ada juga cakap-cakap orang mengatakan tindakan aktivis ISA berkempen ni macam "anjing menyalak bukit".Anjing jadi serak, tapi bukit tetap teguh! Tapi bila Pak Abu dan kawan-kawannya bebas, suara-suara sumbang itu hilang di angin lalu.

" A leading person"

Sejak dari saat Pak Abu dibebaskan, aku pula menjadi "leading person" untuk meneruskan tugas-tugas kempen ini kerana suamiku masih ditahan di Kem. Sejak itu, aku menjadi tumpuan wartawan samada dari media alternatif dalam negara atau stesen radio dan TV dari luar negara. Secara automatik kehidupanku juga berubah. Dunia baru ini menuntut pembahagian masa yang lebih terutamanya untuk menghadiri mesyuarat atau pun sidang akhbar.

Walau sesibuk mana pun dengan dunia baru ini, aku bahagia. Kenapa? Kerana, aku dapat menyalurkan segala dendam dan marahku pada saluran yang sepatutnya. Aku dapat menyatakannya pada wartawan, aku dapat ruang untuk berceramah mengenai kezaliman ISA dan aku juga mula belajar menulis pengalaman dizalimi ini untuk tatapan rakyat Malaysia yang kekurangan maklumat tentang kekejaman ISA.

Dua tahun ke 2

Sewaktu suamiku telah tamat 2 tahun pertama, dan kemudian disambung 2 tahun berikutnya, aku sudah dapat menerima sebarang kemungkinan pelanjutan penahanan itu.

Pada 2 tahun pertama penahanan suami ku, ada juga suara-suara yang mengatakan
" ..agaknya, suami Cikgu Laila tu memang betul-betul pengganas kot, manalah dia tahu apa yang suami dia buat. Ya lah, dirumah, dia memang suami kita, tapi kalau diluar…. dia boleh jadi apa saja…." Panas juga hati ku mendengar kata-kata itu.Tapi apakan daya, sabar jelah….

Bila penahanan suami bersambung pada 2 tahun berikutnya, kerja saya bersama GMI bertambah banyak "Kerja" yang dimaksudkan ialah kempen-kempen yang dirancang dan dijalankan bersama aktivis yang lain semakin memuncak. Amat sukar untuk menilai kejayaan kerja-kerja bersama GMI ini .Kami sentiasa "berperang secara saraf " dengan ejen-ejen kerajaan seperti media, mahkamah , polis , SUHAKAM dan juga menteri. Alhamdulillah, media Barisan Alternatif sentiasa memberi ruang pada GMI. Kami di GMI sentiasa memikirkan, bagaimanakah hendak menyampaikan maklumat tentang ISA ini dengan lebih berkesan pada rakyat, dan kemudiannya rakyat bangun memberi sokongan terhadap usaha kerdil kami ini.

Militant

Tanpa disedari, pejam celik-pejam celik, telah hampir 4 tahun suami saya ditahan. Selama 2 tahun kedua ini, saya rasa, tindakan saya lebih agresif lagi. Dalam jangkamasa 2 tahun kebelakangan ini, sewaktu bertemu kawan-kawan, ramai sangat yang mencadangkan saya bertemu dengan Menteri atau lebih baik jika dapat berjumpa " Dollah Badawi" @ Mr PM..Semua cadangan itu saya terima dengan positif. Setakat ini, saya telah bertemu 3 kali dengan Datuk Mohd Nazri Aziz, Menteri di Jabatan Perdana Menteri, dua kali dengan Datuk Shahrizat Abdul Jalil, Menteri Wanita & Pembangunan Keluarga dan pada bulan Februari tahun ini, saya telah berjaya menemui Perdana Menteri @ Menteri Dalam Negeri..Semua tujuannya cuma satu, iaitu minta supaya suami dibebaskan. Walaupun Perdana Menteri pernah mengatakan "InsyaAllah ", ketika kami tanya samada beliau akan membebaskan tahanan di Kamunting, namun hingga ke hari ini, tahanan masih tetap ditahan di Kemta. Mereka akan dibe baskan hanya sekiranya mereka mengalami sakit tenat yang boleh membawa kematian.

Dan pada ketika ini, bila saya bertemu kawan-kawan, mereka hanya meminta saya bersabar dan banyakkan solat hajat. "Mana lah tahu, hati PM akan lembut dan seterusnya akan membebaskan semua tahanan di Kem" keluh mereka. Terimakasih dengan segala peringatan itu. Saya sentiasa bermunajat, biarlah suami saya bebas sebagai insan yang mempertahankan haknya sebagai seorang Muslim yang bebas mempraktikkan keimanannya. Aku tidak mahu beliau dibebaskan kerana mencipta satu sejarah baru iaitu sebagai salah seorang militant ahli "Jemaah Islamiyyah: Dalam Islam tiada istilah militant sepertimana fitnah yang dilemparkan keatasnya oleh orang-orang yang zalim itu.

Sebagai manusia biasa, ada ketikanya aku merasa "down" yang teramat sangat. Secara kebetulan, disaat seperti itu, ada pula suara-suara yang bunyinya macam orang putus asa saja bila mengingatkan saya " kita ni timun je, menteri tu pisau, kalau kita menggolek, kita yang luka, kalau kita digolek , lagilah hancur."Ah… terasa semakin " down' jadinya…
Alhamdulillah, setakat ini, kata-kata tersebut belum lagi melemahkan saya. Namun tidak dinafikan, sesekali aku terkejut juga dengan nasihat yang sedemikian yang datangnya dari orang-orang yang berpendidikan tinggi, tapi rupanya masih jahil dalam mengenali ISA ini.Untuk golongan ini, saya berdoa semoga Allah akan membukakan minda mereka agar berusaha mengenali kedurjanaan ISA ini.

12 June 2006-Genap 4 Tahun

Pada Isnin, 12 June ini, genaplah suami ku menjadi penghuni kem selama empat tahun. Ada kemungkinan tahanan akan dibebaskan dipenghujung tempoh tersebut.Tapi kalau melihat keadaan di Kem , secara logiknya, peluang untuk bebas itu amat tipis, kecuali ada terjadi "miracle". Tahanan memang diperlukan untuk memastikan survival politik Menteri berkenaan.

Kadang-kadang bila difikirkan, pelik juga. Dah macam-macam di jalankan kempen, tapi kenapa susah sangat kumpulan "JI' ni nak dibebaskan? Angin yang bertiup dari Kementerian Dalam Negeri mengatakan, sukar untuk membebaskan tahanan ketika ini kerana Malaysia mendapat tekanan yang hebat dari Amerika. Samada tahanan tersebut benar-benar pengganas atau tidak, sudah tidak timbul. Masaalahnya sekarang, Malaysia terpaksa membuktikan bahawa di negara ini ada sekelumpuk "pengganas" yang sengaja disimpan untuk memuaskan nafsu Bush! Iye ke?

Bagiku, kenyataan ini bukanlah suatu yang baru. Sejak hari pertama penahanannya, aku mengesyaki, bahawa suamiku dijadikan "kambing hitam' oleh pihak berkuasa untuk memastikan hubungan diplomatik antara Kuala Lumpur dan Washington, berada dalam suasana yang baik. Sampai hati betul pemimpin nombor satu di Malaysia, menzalimi rakyatnya sendiri hanya kerana ingin mengambil hati kuasa asing. Atau, adakah pemimipin tersebut mendapat lebih dari itu?

Buat masa ini, aku dan Suhaib telah membulatkan tekad, samada dia bebas atau tidak, kehidupan wajib diteruskan dan kami akan terus memperjuangkan nasib semua tahanan ISA yang masih menghuni Kem Kamunting. Aku yakin, lambat laun, kezaliman akan dapat dikalahkan oleh keadilan dan kebenaran.Hanya masa yang menentukan segalanya.Lagi pun, kami berdua tidak akan rugi apa-apa kerana sepanjang kami dianiaya dan dizalimi, kami yakin, Allah akan menggantikan segala kesusahan itu dengan pahala yang tidak ternilai harganya.

Bagi mereka yang sedang menganiaya kami, amat kami yakini bahawa Allah yang maha Kuasa akan memberi balasan yang setimpal dengan kezaliman yang sedang mereka lakukan keatas kami….Hanya faktor masa yang akan menentukannya. Namun dimasa yang sama, kami amat berharap rakyat akan bangun untuk memberikan sokongan kepada kami, mangsa yang dizalimi ini.

Sekali lagi kami ulangi, jika tahanan ISA itu benar-benar salah, hadapkanlah ke mahkamah, kalau perkara itu pun tak sanggup dilakukan oleh pihak berwajib, lebih baik bebaskan saja semua tahanan itu sementara mereka masih bernyawa lagi….

BAHAGIAN 2 : 12 JUN 2006, 11.08PM
Petang tadi , saya menerima satu panggilan telefon dari suami yang masih berada di Kem Kamunting. Memang agak berdebar menerima panggilan darinya dan gerak hati saya dapat menjangka, pasti ada berita yang kurang menyenangkan bakal diterima. Saya pasrah dengan sebarang kemungkinan.
"Penahanan abang disambung 2 tahun lagi...." suaranya antara kedengaran dan tidak dihujung sana.Kemudian kami berbual beberapa minit sementara talian belum diputuskan oleh pihak Kemta.
Tiba-tiba je saya rasa seram sejuk, macam nak demam.Saya beristighfar beberapa kali, kemudian membuat panggilan pada salah seorang teman GMI memberitahu mengenai perlanjutan tersebut untuk dimasukkan dalam press statement GMI esok.
Saya cuba mencari kekuatan dengan menghantar sms pada kawan-kawan yang rapat dengan saya.Dan orang pertama yang menghubungi saya ialah Nashita.Agaknya aura keresahan saya telah sampai padanya mendahului yang lain.Susah nak dinyatakan apakah perasaan saya ketika itu, tapi yang jelas, dah tak boleh nak menangis...
"Sorry to know the extension of your beloved husband.Allah knows better why diuji berterusan.Yang pasti, Al Quran ada sebut, ujian akan naikkan makam hambaNya yang sabar" - begitulah kata-kata sms yang diterima dari salah seorang teman rapat saya.Kemudian berbelas-belas sms lain masuk ke inbox handphone .Semua kata-kata itu amat berharga, bermotivasi dan sedikit sebanyak mengembalikan semangat saya untuk berpijak dibumi nyata.Terimakasih pada semua.Semua pesanan itu umpama air sejuk yang menjadi penawar dan memadamkan api kemarahan disaat itu.
Saya terima semua ini sebagai ujian dariNya. Mungkin jika tidak diuji seperti ini, saya tetap akan diberi ujian yang lain, yang mungkin setaraf dengan apa yang sedang dihadapi sekarang.Ya, Allah lebih mengetahui hikmah sesuatu kejadian itu.
Saya selalu membayangkan bagaimanakah keadaan Hajar yang ditinggalkan oleh suaminya ditengah gurun pasir yang tandus, tanpa manusia dengan hanya bertemankan seorang bayi keci yang tidak mengerti apa-apa.Usaha Hajar berlari-lari anak menuruni bukit Safa dan Marwa untuk mendapatkan air bagi bayinya yang kehausan bukanlah sesuatu yang mudah... tidak dapat digambarkan kesukarannya ketika itu...
Ujian yang Allah beri pada saya tidaklah sehebat Hajar....beza, amat jauh bezanya , macam langit dengan bumi...
Saya redha dengan ujian ini, tapi saya tetap tidak redha dengan perbuatan insan lain menzalimi kami sekeluarga.Selagi ada nyawa, usaha mesti diteruskan, dan selebihnya saya serahkan pada Allah SWT untuk menyelesaikannya.Jika didunia hak kami dinafikan, maka kami akan tuntut segalanya diakhirat kelak.

I really don't believe that many people out there are still tolerate with the current practice by the Minister (KDN). I wonder whether this is the right concept of 'hadhari' or whatsoever. In term of human justice, this is just a backward movement.

In addition, terlalu ramai lagi isteri yg lupa apa nikmatnya suami ada di rumah. Bila di ambil tiba-tiba sebegini, baru terasa nilainya. Jangan hingga terlupa anak dalam kereta jadinya!!

Beralasan terlalu sibuk tapi ibu yang baik tahu dan faham persekitarannya. Mungkin benar, org miskin mudah lupa bila berada ...tapi org kaya takut miskin kerana tak tahu bagaimana menanganinya. Dalam kes ini...miskin ug lupa laa...

Ayam pun tahu anaknya di mana....dan ayam juga takkan berkata yang bapa ayamnya " Tak guna!". Namun ayam juga tahu meminta maaf atas kesilapannya..bukan ego macam babi yang makan tahi sendiri!!

Sleep will be deprived.

Girlfriends, wife will felt neglected…children will realize that their usually calm dad turned into a swearing freak when the game goes against them!

But that the beauty of the Beautiful Game..a game played by millions across the globe.

That’s why I felt the irony of American game. The great past time, Baseball, BasketBall or the Grid Iron, American Football.

These games are played prominently in the USA, high schools have their own teams, university have their leagues, franchise holders have their draft pick to deal with.

I been to the states…so I know for a fact, they take their sports seriously. That’s fair enough. But the laughable fact was that they declared themselves as World Champion in games played only in their own backyard!

When the Red Sox won the baseball championships last year, they are the World Champion. When the Patriots won the Superbowl, again declared as the world champion. San Antonio Spurs won the NBA finals, world champion again….Colorado Avalanche won the Stanley Cup, Micheal Andretti won the Indy 500, they are all regarded as the world best.

I can understand that since USA is a big country…the State of Michigan is bigger than Peninsular Malaysia, but World Champion? Hah!

The last time I checked; The gold medalist for basketball in the last Olympic is Argentina, Ice hockey is Russia or Norway, can’t remember, the recently finished World Baseball series was won by Japan, American football does not count because hell, only the American plays it!

Mario Andretti joined the F1, the fasted car racing in the world, he couldn’t cut the grade, now Scott Speed tries his luck…again no luck. In my opinion, they have the same syndrome like Malaysian Champions, jaguh kampong mentality.

This is the same in other industry as well, anything that Ford built is great, what Chevy create is a speedster, whatever Microsoft conjures up is par excellence, blatantly ignoring the fact that the others can provide the same or even better products!

Perhaps that’s why they can practically invade any country. Because they felt they know better, their interest is served best that way…no wonder you got Al-Qaeda fighting them, because if one evil twin can do it, why can’t they!

MELAYU = GENETICALLY LAZY OR JUST LACK OF OPPORTUNITY??

Ever since I wrote about the future undertaking of the young generation of Malaysia, I have been bombarded by emails citing two contrasting view-pro and cons.

CASE 1-AGAINST

I have been researching and talking to some senior managers about Malays. Benarkah mereka ini sebenarnya “malas” atau “tidak competitive”? Daripada 6 senior managers atau company owner yang telah saya berbual, kebanyakkannya mengiyakan statement di atas.

Daripada pengalaman mereka, kebanyakkan staff mereka yg berbangsa melayu terlalu payah utk bekerja lebih masa. Too many excuses akan diberi seperti anak tidak sihat, kena ambil bini, suami marah, rumah jauh. Lebih menyakitkan hati manager ini adalah sindiran yang dikeluarkan seperti “gaji sikit….tapi kerja macam kuli”-seperti biasa, kenyataan ini hanya keluar masa minum2 kat luar, tanpa pengetahuan boss mereka.

Ini mungkin situasi mereka yg bekerja di pejabat. Bagaimana mereka di kampung? Mereka yg ditemubual juga mengatakan ini juga malas. Mereka yg mempunyai kebun akan memajakkannya kepada Ah Seng, Ah Meng utk ambil hasil tanahnya, duit mudah. Jika mengerjakan ladang getah pun, setakat pagi sahaja...petang melepak di kedai kopi, malam bersantai dgn kawan2 di serambi surau. Sedangkan petang selepas menoreh, boleh ternak lembu, mengerjakan kebun buah, malam nak melepak ..lepak laa...tapi petang yg dihabiskan minum kopi tadi boleh dielakkan.

Malas atau budaya? Mungkin budaya, mungkin malas yg diinherited secara turun-temurun. Ataupun sikap suka menipu diri sendiri. Terlalu ramai kawan2 saya yg selalu berkata, ”Aku saje aje malas nak fight for that post, nanti org kata aku gila kuasa lak....so, saje aje” atau bila kalah main game ” Alah beb, kita dah selalu sgt menang...so kali nie aku saje aje bagi dia menang, kalau aku mahu, kena sebat la dia...nanti patah semangat lak”

CASE 2-FOR

We just never get the right opportunity.

Setelah jerih mengejar kelulusan university berkat usaha ayah dan ibu, aku keluar mengejar impian utk menjadi graduan yg berjaya. Biarpun kelulusan aku tidaklah fist class namun aku merasakan banyak lagi factor lain yg harus di beri perhatian seperti kebolehan aku menulis Bahasa Melayu dan English dgn baik, kebolehan aku menjadi ketua platoon Kadet..

Namun setelah 3 bulan mencari kerja di Kuala Lumpur aku masih tak berjaya, resume sudah beratus aku utuskan, ratusan kepala Yg Di Pertuan Agong di stem telah aku jilatkan, alasan yg diberi….aku tiada pengalaman! Bagaimana aku nak ada pengalaman, jika aku tidak diberi peluang!! Chicken and egg la…

There is a lot of vacancy in the newspaper, but the requirement to speak Mandarin is a must. Man, I cannot speak Mandarin….every time, I went for an interview, they state they need a Mandarin speaking candidate because they main business is in China. The weird thing was the HR Manager is Malay!!

The last time i checked, business in China are done in English. On the other hand, big corporation headed by Malay big-wigs aren’t employing Malay due to the above belief that we are inherently lazy. Are we?

Even Oscar Schindler, who is not even Jew employs Jews in his factory. Macamana Melayu tak mahu employ melayu? Teruk sangat ke kami nie? Bukan semua org melayu malas, ada yg berwawasan juga namun tidak diberi peluang…

My Take

We live in a cruel world.

To survive, Malay should start to believe they are not special just because they are classified as Bumiputra. They should stop believing that Govt. have abundant of jobs waiting for them….well, not until some of the most corrupted officers are weed out first!

That will emptied have of the government buildings!! Heh..heh

Self improvement is very important; the desire to live is even paramount. Your parents are not gonna live forever. You have to fend for yourself…and stop believing that every man is created equal…if they are all created equal, nobody will win a 100 meter race, Brazil will not win the World Cup, Liverpool the FA Cup!

They win because their self believe is greater than their opponent. Their strategy is clear, the desire is like a fire that 1000 firemen cannot put out, defeat is not an option.

So, pick yourself up, do what is best for you…sometimes the degree you did the last time was not your passion, a job with a low salary is a job nonetheless, work hard and honest does pay.

Allah is Almighty….and knows who warrants His Blessings.

Have faith….i lost mine once…but Allah guides me back.

I am still a naughty boy though!! Heh..heh

In the workplace, it can be very difficult to obtain staff motivation. There are many factors that play against staff motivation. It really is the manager's responsibility to motivate the employees. This can be very challenging at times.

There are six guidelines that a person can follow to achieve staff motivation.

1. A friendly working environment is extremely important to a positive attitude in the workplace. Socializing should be acceptable in most cases. People can work and socialize at the same time. There has to be interaction between the staff in order for them to form a bond and relationship to become a team.

Also, if coming to your job everyday is never fun, then you will have some very unmotivated workers on your hands. It must be an enjoyable place to spend 8-10 hours per day. This is crucial for staff motivation.

2. Helping the employees set goals for themselves is very important to gaining staff motivation. Everyone needs to know what his or her expectations are as well as their job description. A weekly staff meeting could be beneficial to a productive work place. It is a good idea to get their input and listen to any complaints.

3. The open door policy with management is a must. The staff must be able to come and discuss any problems or even ideas with the management, in confidentiality. They need to be able to give their feedback on issues. More importantly, the management needs the feedback.

4. Rewarding your staff with bonuses, promotions, employee of the month awards or raises will help motivate them. Even praise is encouraging to the employees. It lets them know that they are valuable to the team.

Without these rewards or praises, the staff will feel unappreciated and worthless. If they have these feelings, then they will not have any pride in their work and you will probably get low quality work.

5. Understanding that everyone works at a different pace and with a different style is a key to success, as well. There are many different personalities in one work place. It is the Managers job to listen and understand that everyone is different. To be flexible and understanding is another key to staff motivation.

6. It is so important for the Manager to leave room for error in every line of work. We are all human. There will be mistakes made. It is up to the boss to have an alternate plan in case of an error. A plan B to correct the problem.

All these ideas are a good place to start in achieving staff motivation in the workplace. Different things motivate different people. Staff motivation can be achieved by following these guidelines.

All the brouhaha about Datuk Shahrir Samad quitting the post of Backbencher Club Chairman after failing the gain the support of his members, to follow-up Datuk Mohd Said Yusoff (BN-Jasin) over his remarks to “tutup sebelah mata” to the Customs.

The issue begins when one company in Malacca reports to Datuk Said over the company particular shipments of timber that being held by the Malacca Customs because the shipments exceed the specified requirement set by the Customs department itself.

So the perihatin Datuk went over to the Custom Department and complained about this, when the Customs officer said that rules are rules, he cited that they should turn a blind eye because it is just a small discrepancy.

When the news reached the opposition spearheaded by DAP, the motion was mooted in Parliament saying that the MP has stepped out of line by exceeding his capacity as an MP i.e. pulling the necessary strings to benefit certain party. Datuk Shahrir Samad supported the motion in Parliament but his members didn’t support his stance.

Realising this, he quit his post becoz he felt that he acted on his conscience, his mandate comes from his constituency but will be discipline because he did not acted within the party line.

My take is this, this is not the first time when MPs voted out of the party lines. In 2004, two Gerakan MP choose not to vote a motion in Dewan Rakyat becoz they felt their constituency will be at a disadvantage. The result, they were suspended for 12 months for failing to toe the party line.

In 2005, Datuk Sothi from MIC, was suspended for arguing with the Education Minister over the Russian Medical University fiasco. He argued that why did the Education Ministry approved the Russian College in 2002 then withdrew it approval in 2005. He pitied the students and parents who will suffered directly because their degree is no longer recognized by the govt. They will not be able to practice, rugi la kan…

Now this…

What happen about character, pure chivalry, and principles? If the MP is elected by the people, he should acted by the people consensus and behave accordingly. When an MP felt that some should “turn a blind eye” over one issue is a man of little ethical beliefs and a man of no integrity. This type of MP should be forced to resign because his blatant disregard of the law! The law is to protect the people and his behaviour acted against the wish of the people!

While a man like Datuk Shahrir Samad and Datuk Sothi are being suspended because they stood on their grounds, believe in their principle and knowingly acted in the best interest of the people.

All we learned in school and university about standing up for what we believe, acting on our principle are all a dream. We can no longer think beyond the boundary of what the govt. wanted us to think. The ruling party is absolute and absolute obedience is required.

What about our duties to the nation? To our beloved country? We love William Wallace in the movie “Braveheart” because he live and die on his principle that Scotland should be independent from England, We support Jerry Mecguire becoz he believe what he wrote and acted on it. Ellin Brokovich?

But now, we are told that all this can only happen in movies. The drama…and the triumph of good over evil is all bullshit. In reality perhaps, the bad guys win!

Alas…I believe that finally we have reached the pinnacle of our country governance, where principle and ethics are dead. We can no longer dream that one man can make a difference ..because you obviously can’t because you will acted out of the party line.

Ah…the euphoria of being controlled spiritually and physically!!

Had a long discussion with a couple of buddies of mine, not that we haven’t met each other for a long time but it is just a topic that came on its own.

In life, upbringing and surrounding plays an important part. In the old days, 10 years after independence, people especially malays tried to crawl of poverty. After independence, there were approximately 10 English schools throughout Malaya, there has been more than 5 chinese schools but there officially, there is only 1 Malay school.( based on some readings these guys had…)

So, malay parents who were predominantly farmers tried to get the necessary education for their children, to elevate their purchasing power and frankly, better future for them. Education was paramount and getting a job was like a dream come true.

Chinese was and still very dominant in commerce and trade, so money is something very precious for them. From hardship in mainland China, they migrated and make something of themselves here. People like Loh Boon Siew, who came with a biscuit in his pocket and a plain shirt on his back, managed to have 18 buses when he reached 18 and the rest is history ler…Lim Goh Tong also had the same background, they had hardship and made it on their own.

People need goals and ambition, they have desire and needs, Abraham Maslow’s though so, Herzberg felt the same way, it’s basic and it’s rule of the world.

So that’s why we are wondering why they are some part of the society lost their way after our earlier generations fought and built this nation?

Do we get complacent? Are we already achieved social euphoria? Have we achieved zero poverty? ( Tgk la “ Bersamamu”-masih lagi ramai yg miskin)

Kenapa anak2 melayu kita masih lagi hayal dgn bermotosikal? Budak2 muda sama ada sekolah menengah atau university sibuk berkonvoi entah ke mana, berlumba haram, membingitkan suasana entah utk apa, budak2 sekolah rendah sibuk main basikal, meniru gaya abg2 mereka yg wheelie ataupun gaya superman! Ini jadi idola mereka …Mawi jadi idola mereka biarpun Mawi curang pada tunangnya kerana usha Diana Rafar? Heh..heh saje aje tuh. Melayu kan suka hiburan?? Kan..kan...

Kenapa anak2 Cina sibuk berdisko, main ”ice” dan berlumba kereta? Duit yg ibu bapa beri dihabiskan ke kelab2 malam, disko and berkaraoke. Ada yg sudah tidak mampu menanggung gaya hidup hingga Ah Long jadi rakan baik mereka, tidak mampu bayar hingga mahu terjun bangunan tinggi?

Kenapa anak2 India tidak habis sekolah hingga terlibat dgn jenayah? Ramai yg berpeleseran dan rata2 tak tahu hala tuju hidup mereka. Adakah kerana ketua masyarakat mereka tidak memainkan peranan utk membentuk minda dan kehidupan sosial mereka? Jika kita tgk berita pun, keluarga india banyak yg masih duduk setinggan, ramai yg masih buat odd jobs...kenapa?

Maka kami pun berpendapat bahawa ada benarnya bila The Star menyatakan Malaysia menghadapi brain drain yg dahsyat, kerana Malaysia gila membina World Class infrastructure tetapi lupa membina mentality first class. Hospital canggih tapi jururawat ramai yg masih tak faham erti customer service, pegawai kerajaan yg tinggal di Putrajaya, ibu kota penuh prasarana yg hebat namun masih pergi minum pukul 10 pagi hingga jam 12.

Ini mewujudkan ”false” pretense seolah2 kita sudah berjaya sedangkan pembangunan infrastruktur tidak semestinya membangunkan minda rakyat. Kita sebenarnya memcemburui Singapura, sebuah negeri kecil, tidak mempunyai banyak resources seperti Malaysia, namun lebih jauh maju dari segi physical dan mental. Malah pasukan bolasepak mereka pun sudah hentam Malaysia berkali2..bayangkan Malaysia mempunyai 25 juta penduduk berbanding Singapura?

Di mana silapnya kita? Situasi masih sama....anak2 melayu kita masih juga mencari kerja biarpun kelulusan universiti, masih alpa dgn hiburan dan cerita2 artis, umur sudah menjejaki 30-an, masih belum mampu memiliki rumah sendiri, melangsaikan hutang kereta ..ada yg belum bekeluarga pun kerana masih tak cukup simpanan. Apa sudah jadi?

Mana perginya syarikat2 bumiputra yg sepatutnya memberikan peluang pekerjaan kepada anak2 melayu kita sendiri? Oh lupa...biasanya org2 melayu yg menerajui syarikat2 bumiputra ini sudah lupa bahawa mereka melayu, malah ada yg menyatakan mereka malu kerana mereka melayu. Saya pernah mendengar dgn telinga saya sendiri seorg ketua pegawai eksekutif Melayu menyatakan saya hanya memilih org yg mampu buat kerja, org melayu mudah leka...so saya cuba elakkan jika boleh.

Sedih juga tetapi itu realitynya, I am all for racial integration namun saya tidak akan terima racial discrimination, apatah lagi yg melakukannya org kita sendiri, kulitnya sama, bangsanya sama tapi lagaknya lebih dari org putih. Perhatikan sendiri, org kita tidak lagi senyum pada pelanggan, org yg lebih tua, utk menyatakan terima kasih kepada juruwang di Giant ataupun Carrefour jauh sekali kerana mungkin ramai yg rasa dia hanya seorg juruwang, aku gajinya beribu ...masakan aku kena mengucapkan terima kasih?

Kami bersurai tanpa sebarang pengertian mahupun hala tuju yg nyata. Tapi saya akui saya kecewa dgn apa yg berlaku ketika ini...entah apa yg terjadi di masa hadapan, jika org kita masih lagi alpa dgn AF4, One in A Million, Jom Heboh tapi kurang minat pada kunci khazanah, kuiz2 ilmiah.

A bridge too far…or a bridge too much of a fancy??

Lo and behold the saga of the scenic over the straits of Johore is over.

The bridge that will link us with our economic rival, Singapore is not gonna be built.

“It was because the rakyat didn’t want it” says one Menteri Besar, who enjoys zapin rather than sitting in the office thinking of a way of how to elevate the lagging Malays in his own backyard.

“It was due to Singapore putting unrealistic claims such as sands and Malaysian airspace” said another Minister, from Kota Tinggi, Johor.

The same minister who said last year that the bridge will be built nonetheless regardless of what the Singaporeans wants, (even threatening to demolish the existing causeway just to coax the Singaporeans to agree).

“It wasn’t a popular rakyat decision, we listen to the rakyat” said another top Minister, who is currently lonely.

Oh rakyat…let your voices be known and heed your call, for your voices has been heard and heeded. Oh yes…the orgasm of being noticed is almost mind blowing.

But I beg to differ!!? This rakyat who pays good taxes be it income taxes, sales tax or road tax, really beg to differ.

My arguments?

After all the saga of building the bridge ended, does anyone knows what actually going on?

Why appoint the contractor and signed the agreement to build the bridge even before the Singapore government actually agrees on it?

On yes, it was mooted out in 1996, during the time of our last Prime Minister, everything was hunky dory and the Singapore did agree.

Did they? Did they sign any papers saying that they agree? Like the papers the Malaysian government signed with Singapore 30 years ago about the supply of processed water for a paltry 30 cents per litre?

Did they?

Guess you lots assume a lot huh? Like you assume I am not gonna pissed about the fuel hike and just rolled with the punches…

2. The contractors are smiling all the way to the bank!

Who are the directors behind the company being awarded with the job of building the bridge? Are they not disappointed with the news? Kenapa tak issue statements that they are incurring huge loss due to the cancellation! Why mum over this issue? I would have fight tooth and nails if my project were cancel on a grounds that I was not totally in control of?

Perhaps they are not angry and that is a BIG perhaps, is because they initially know that whether the project is a go ahead or not, they are making billions already.

If the bridge gets built, they already won on inflated prices, if the bridge gets cancelled; there is a provision in the contract that warrants a huge compensation.

Now, that is a business model I would like to have! Lebih baik tak jadi, makan duit atas angina saje…

3. Where is your consensus of this ”suara rakyat”?

This statement has been mooted out several times by various ministers. But on what grounds, where is your databases? What is your “r” value? What type of questionnaires used? Likert method perhaps? SPSS used to tabulate the score?

Survey are easy to do

It is so easy to set up a survey that is can costless. A website survey that is accessible to the general public can be set up practically free! SMS voting can also be done. If the public willing to part RM 0.50 to vote for Mawi, Marsya and Felix, why not vote for this?

Surely we Malaysian, especially Malays are not too fickle about issue like this? Or are they?

Web survey can easily tabulated and shown to the public. The participation can be limited a specific time, like 21 days. If it is a popular decisions, wouldn’t it be easier to force it through becoz the opposition would not a grain of ammunition to lambaste you with?

Alas…the flesh is weak as well as some minister brain.

Projects that involve billions need thorough planning.

Ini tidak, persetujuan belum dapat dari the other party, sudah “syok sendiri”. Appoint contractor dulu laa, buat pilling siap2 laa.., heboh satu Malaysia laa.

Did you know that not a single news was aired in Singapore about the bridge cancellation?! Are they not bothered, are they not concerned that their government were blamed?

Perhaps they know that Malaysians gemar Jom Heboh, so let them key poh!

How many bridges la chief?

May be many did not realized that we already have a second bridge linking Malaysia with Singapore at Gelang Patah. Over RM 2 billion were spent on that bridge, the usage is still below expectations and the payback period was expected to be over 30 years.

If I were the holding concession on bridge at Gelang Patah, I will be pissed that the second bridge is being built less than 8 years after my bridge is completed.

Who needs who?

I believe it is painful to say this especially when I am a Johorean myself, but Johor Bahru needs Singaporeans more than Singaporeans needs Malaysian.

They come in droves during weekends, spends millions of ringgit on grocery items and fuels, injecting our economy. Bettering the life in JB itself with better facilities, wider roads, hotel fully occupied and job for thousands of workers.

Most Malaysian goes to Singapore for jobs with better pay, better education and better healthcare.

So who needs who the most?!

I have run out of superlative in describing this funny scenario. I just wished our “beloved” minister would stop patronizing us once in a while…I am so covered with your bullshit that my mum beginning to think I work in a cow ranch in Rawang!

LIFESTYLES?

I have not been able to update my blog lately…honestly becoz I don't seem to have anything to write, be I becoz I am plain lazy or just a dry patch. Probably both …

Next two weeks my exams is coming up, got two papers on one day, man…when you are 18, you would think nothing of it…but when you are 30, that is a totally different story, though you understand the subject better as you grew older, your capacity to store it somewhat diminishes, it may not hold true to all people but majority do face this problem.

It is no excuse but just another way of telling yourselves, you need to try harder and smarter. Lots has been going on since I last update the blog, I have moved to a new office, a place i can finally called my own , the rent is okay and the parking is free, so go figure…slightly further from my house but closer to KL.

Business has been quite good but sporadic in nature, I got things align for June upwards but none currently, sounds ironic isn’t it but that the nature of my business is just that way. In the meantime, you need to do lots of proposal, drawings to appease your clients and do lots of presentation, you do your best, you win some and lose some.

I haven’t been the easiest person to deal with, I am no way by the book person but I do want to know what and who I am dealing with, old school business may irked with the way I handled things but I am what I am.

For me, in business …relationship is important, I may have to quote my price slightly higher in order to let my friends in it…there are other malay, who do not believe in this…they are pure businessman with a motto that says “ I deal with an end user and that’s about it…”

I do not favour that view for I am believe that good friends are hard to get…whilst enemy are aplenty. Just try this…even in your many years of being surrounded by friends, just how many can just leave everything just to aid you in your times of need? If you do have it…keep it close! It is easier to make enemy than make a good friend…if making friends is easy, might as well…we walk up to a particular guy at a mamak joint and ask him/her “ Beb…kita jadik member boleh?”

“ Err…err..awak okay ke?? “ or “ Apahal lu beb?” will be the most possible outcome, but just try walk to the same guy, and kick him/her at the back…there you go, an instant enemy, a foe!

Entah..i value friendship even in business. There are pitfalls though for there is no foolproof plan…but you do what you need to do.

Mungkin perasaan rakyat Malaysia yang menonton video tersebut, akan berasa marah, apabila media UK terang-terangan menghina kereta buatan Malaysia, yakni Perodua Kelisa yang semakin hari semakin hebat jualannya. Sudah lah ia diketuk, di gantung dan akhirnya diletupkan. Beliau juga berkata, bahawa barangan buatan Malaysia dan Korea tidak mementingkan keselamatan kecuali keuntungan jualan semata-mata.

Mungkin juga dengan menontonnya, jika boleh tersedar bahawa, selama ini kita tidak pernah mempersoalkan tentang kualiti kenderaan yang kita gunakan. Sejak Proton dan Perodua dihasilkan, kemalangan yang meragut nyawa semakin meningkat. Kita setuju bahawa kita tidak pernah mengambil berat dan mengikuti statistik kematian sebelum dan selepas kereta tempatan
dihasilkan. Ramai keluarga yang kehilangan ahli mereka akibat memandu kenderaan kebanggaan Malaysia. Suasa riang hari raya yang patut kita rasakan segera bertukar sedih dan berkumpul dihospital dan rumah mayat adalah pengalaman yang cukup tidak enak ketika musim perayaan.

TEKTIK KERAJAAN DAN PENGELUAR

Peringatan melalui iklan sering dipertontonkan ketika bermulanya musim perayaan. Pelbagai iklan dihasilkan oleh, syarikat Proton, Perodua dan syarikat minyak nasional Petronas. Sehari hampir 50 kali iklan yang sama akan disiarkan. Malah kerajaan dan artis akan memberi pesan yang sama kepada masyarakat yang akan pulang ke kampung. Namun akibat keghairahan, kita tidak dapat menjanjikan keselamatan, walaupun kita memandu secara berhemah.

Pecah juga lah kepala para menteri dan polis untuk memikirkan bagaimana langkah yang terpaksa diambil untuk mengelak dan mengurangkan kemalangan. Tektik terbaru adalah menyediakan minuman kopi di stesyen-stesyen minyak. Langkah yang lain ialah meletakkan pegawai polis di sepanjang jalan dan mengambil tindakan saman sekiranya berlaku pemanduan yang berbahaya yang dilakukan oleh pemandu dan pengguna jalanraya.

Tetapi sedarkah kita bahawa kerajaan dan pihak pengeluar kenderaan tidak pernah memikirkan untuk menambah, memajukan ciri-ciri keselamatan kecuali banyak memikirkan akan bagaiman untuk menaikkan jualan mereka sahaja.

HASILNYA

Media, kerajaan dan pengusaha kenderaan, sebenarnya asyik melekakan kita. Sedarkah kita bahawa kita juga asyik menyalahkan saudara kita atau mereka yang terlibat, jika kemalangan berlaku.

Pernah kah kita menyalahkan kerajaan kerana tidak menyediakan kemudahan yang sepatutnya dan pernahkah kita salahkan pada pengusaha kenderaan kerana tidak menyediakan ciri-ciri keselamatan yang mencukupi?

Kesilapan dan kemalangan boleh berlaku dimana-mana. Dan kemalangan tidak tentu masa dan ketikanya. Kita tidak pernah cuba menanganinya secara serius, selain menyalahkan pengguna jalanraya. Seolah-olah tiada pihak lain yang terbabit.

Minda dan pemikiran rakyat Malaysia sudah dikawal oleh sikap pemerintah dan pengeluar kereta tempatan yang asyik mementingkan wang hasil jualan kenderaan tanpa mengambil kira kematian yang terhasil akibat kebodohan ciri-ciri keselamatan kenderaan dan jalanraya.

Kesalahan yang dipertanggunjawabkan kepada rakyat adalah untuk menutup kesalahan pihak lain. Dari kegagalan RMK 8, kegagalan basmi dadah, kegagalan sistem pelajaran, peningkatan kadar jenayah, banjir, kerugian TNB dan sebagainya, jari telujuk menteri dan kerajaan, hanyalah menuding ke arah rakyat.

KERAJAAN YANG TIDAK PERNAH BERSALAH

Sepanjang kita hidup, kita tidak pernah sekali-kali berpeluang mendengar MAAF dilakukan oleh oleh Menteri dan kerajaan atas kesilapan mereka. Tetapi pastinya, mereka tidak pernah rasa bersalah dan beruntunglah Malaysia kerana mempunyai kerajaan BN yang 'PERFECT". Asyik-asyik salahkan rakyat dan asyik-asyik salahkan rakyat.

RAKYAT TIADA PILIHAN

Jika ketiadaan cukai import yang dikenakan kepada kereta luar Negara, sudah pasti jumlah penjualan kenderaan luar akan jauh lebih baik dari kenderaan tempatan. Tetapi malang kepada rakyat apabila cukai import yang tinggi, menyebabkan harga kenderaan dari luar Negara jauh lebih mahal dari kenderaan tempatan.

Namun begitu, kenderaan tempatan yang kononnya rendah harga, masih lagi tinggi dibandingkan dengan jumlah pendapatan rakyat Malaysia.

Rakyat tidak mempunyai pilihan. Dengan kualiti pengangkutan awam yang macam sial dan dek kerana ahli keluarga yang semakin ramai, rakyat terpaksa membeli kenderaan tempatan tanpa banyak soal. Maka duit dikumpul dan disimpan, hanya untuk membeli bukan kereta tetapi keranda. Keranda yang pada bila-bila boleh membawa maut.

Bukan sahaja ciri keselematan kenderaan tempatan sahaja yang longgar malah, kerosakan mungkin berlaku selepas kenderaan dibeli. Kekadang, sehinggakan pakar kenderaan jenama itu sendiri pun tidak boleh kenal pasti kerosakan yang dialami. Berbangga lah dengan kereta Nasional.

NASIHAT

Disini kita perlu lebih matang untuk memikirkan suatu yang baru. Sekiranya selepas ini berlaku kemalangan jiwa kepada kaum keluarga kita, kita perlu perihatin kepada kemungkinan tiada ciri-ciri keselamatan pada kenderaan yang kita beli atau keadaan jalan kita yang sememangnya tiada kualiti. Mungkin juga kekurangan tanda jalan dilokasi berbahaya.

Disebalik kesalahan hanya kepada pemandu, kenapa kita tidak libatkan pengusaha kenderaan, kerajaan dan siapa sahaja yang patut terlibat. Saman mereka asalkan ia berbaloi dengan sikap sambil lewa mereka.

Kerajaan selama ini tidak langsung mengambil berat akan keselamatan rakyat Malaysia dan kita terus-terusan membeli kenderaan buatan Malaysia. Kononnya "BELI LAH BARANGAN BUATAN MALAYSIA." Untuk kereta proton dan perodua, sudah lah tidak berkualiti, mahal pula harganya.

Apabila rakyat mempersoalkan kredibiliti kerajaan, masih ada pihak pro kerajaan yang menyangkal dan memarahi kita kerana masih tidak berterima kasih kepada kerajaan BN. Yang nyata kemajuan yang kita ada sekarang adalah jauh dari yang sepatutnya kia rasai kerana jumlah perbelanjaan kerajaan jauh lebih banyak dan banyak dari nya adalah untuk pembaziran
menteri-menteri.

Sebagai rakyat kita perlu sedar selain dari asyik dipersalahkan, nyawa kita juga tidak lebih dari RM0.30 kepada kerajaan. Nasiblah..

It has been too bloody long since i last updated my blog

Not that i deliberately left it barren...i just had a lot on my minds now

For the past weeks, i have met some old friends who were quick to redeem themselves

It's okay...i am afterall wanted just a true friendship...than just kawan masa senang

Sometimes if you think about it, there may be a point in your life you began asking...

" i have help a lot of people.....will these people come to my aid when i needed them?"

i frowned and somehow felt the deepest sadness in my heart....

then i slowly realised...

It wasn't them who repay my kindness...

It is Allah, it always is.

The tale of two husbands

First Husband

The first husband married early in life at the ripe young age of 20 years old. He didn't get a good degree but a degree nonetheless. Being married, the thought of having family is heavy on his minds albeit knowing that it is a huge financial outlay.

Economic recession slaps him in his face...he couldn't get a job..his wife was luckily enoughto be drafted by one of the local univ. He searches but with a weak degree...he couldn't get far. He has to endure countless interview without success...broke and desperate, he becomes a salesman.

With a meagre of commission, he plow away until he was given a chance to work at one small company as an executive. He started well....get connected quickly and quickly rises through the ranks. However, knowing that a plain monthly salary wouldn't cut it on its own, he becomes a broker of sorts. Getting his day work done during the day and make deals at nite for his business.

After work, he forgo dinner at home in order to meet clients for his deals. It wasn't easy....his wife hardly see him anymore, he is tired most of the time and at the best possible moments, the wife announced she is pregnant.

He knew he need to act fast, accumulated all the money he could grab on for his family is getting bigger. Stress beginning to take toll....the small talk he uses to have becames arguments and living in a small apt. in ampang doesn't help.

By Allah wills, he succeeds in buying a house with his own money, paid half of it and moved in on his 26th birthday. His son is 1 years old...and the business is doing okay. But harden marriages started to crack...the wife batterred him as to why he is tired and hardly helps in the house.

Being pregnant with a secong child, doesn't help either. The wife complained about the smell of cigarettes he brings home (he doesn't smoke at home), the late nite he constantly come home and all the little things in the world.

Tired and frustrated, he wrote in an email to his wife that perhaps they should separated if she thinks she will be better off with another man. The wife thought it was over and referred the case to the local pejabat kadi.

He didn't meant to divorce her but the word is his email was construed as the final nail in the coffin. He was furious with his wife for referring the case straight to pejabat kadi...things gotten out of hands.

Soon all his and her family stepped in...the in-laws accused him of using his new found wealth as a mean to chase their poor daughter out, the parent of the man told him off for being a short sighted man.

However, things resolved amicably and they soon remarried but that incidents label him for life in the eyes of the people who knew him....it nearly broke him forever...but somehow he carry on.

Second Husband

He came from a family of farmers. He understand the word hard work for he has seen it with his own eyes.

He slowly work his way through schools, getting a fairly good result in SRP and SPM for the necessary enrollment to the public universities. Having manage to secure a place in UM, he studied hard to get a good degree.

It is at this time, he was introduced a girl that was somehow highly sought after by his peers. The girl is from a different facullty but he knew he has the advantage. Slowly he captures her heart with the smallest tinniest thing...silly for most men but highly romantic for the woman.

The girl being close to her family, begans to tell story of the boy. He was that...he was this. Of course, being conveyed a constant barrage of good news...make the parents eager to meet him. In fact, he didnt disappoint them...he was all smiley, very helpful, good with small talk, the rapport was good and all set for blissful marriage.

Soon both of them graduated, the girl secured a job at a prestigous accounting firm and the boy at a local college as a tutor. They were engaged in less than six months after graduation. The boy was infact is heavily influenced by his mother. His mother was in fact the bearing in his life..

The big moments came...in a matter of week, they are going to get married. The whole family was excited because he was afterall, the ever smilling, ever helpful, son in law. However, exactly a week before the marriage itself, he called the girl to called his marriage to her..perhaps due to cold feet or perhaps influnced from his mother, nobody knows....but the girl salvaged the situation.

They got married nonetheless, rent a nice apt. in cheras and started their marriage life. Little that the girl know that the husband is a mere facade of the man she thought he is. Yes he work hard at work but he sleeps immediately after work. He always favour his mother over everything.

Things make worse when the wife got promoted faster through the ranks...she earns more than the husband. The late arrival of a child also put toll on the marriage. Being sligthly overweight, he felt out of place and out of sorts...

By Allah's will, they were given their first child after 2 years of marriage, it started off well....but as the child grows up..he felt even more out place. Being over looked for promotion, he felt even more frustrated. He started smoking in his house dur to frustration much to the frustartion of his wife. He refuse to take care of his child when his wife is late from work citing tiredness and busy with his schoolwork.

He is current doing his masters to further his fledging career but this has place a heavier burden on him. The schoolwork and chores at home make it difficult to handle. The wife arrive late from work usually at 8 pm, need to care for the children and cook for him at the same time. He is adamant that his wife cooks for him, no substitute allowed!

Finally he snapped, after a heated argument with his wife over the caring of the child, he slapped the wife so hard that blank out his wife momentarily. Blood came splurting out from the mouth as to demonstrate the power of his hands.

The child cried profusely and after the wife regained consciousness, ran away for refuge in her sister house and later when home to tell off her parents. The in law was furious as expected but discussion take place to calm things down.

Luckily, they work on their marriages and reconciliate but he stills refuse to care for the child if the wife came late from work or whenever he is free citing busy work schedules. He still smoke in the house and continue to favour his mother to the point that the wife just give up mending his ways...

The ONE MILLION DOLLAR Question??

Time...and its relativity

It is somehow baffling...

Time usually flies when you are enjoying yourselves.

But man, do time drag when you are in difficulties or bored.

The last 8 months since i left the corporate world to venture on my own, time flies....the business has taken me to Penang and JB. Long hours at some high rise corporate offices.

But as always, in January...business is usually slow. Govt. department haven't get their warrants yet...private institution are busy balancing their books. Waiting for your long due payments is also a pain ...a very painful pain!

I don't know what i am ranting or babbling about....

Perhaps the pain of being beaten by Man Utd in injury time has really gotten into me. God damn Rio Ferdinand!!!!

Selama beberapa tahun aku telah merungut kerana kurang tidur dan terlalu banyak tekanan dalam hidup, akan tetapi sekarang kini aku tahu kenapa ianya berlaku (the real reason) :

Aku keletihan kerana terlebih kerja... nak tau kenapa? Di bawah ini aku akan tunjukkan kenapa aku mempunyai beban kerja yang lebih dan ianya adalah benar dan bukan rekaan aku :

Populasi penduduk Malaysia sekarang adalah 23 juta orang.
1.7 juta darinya sudah bersara.
Jadi tinggal 21.3 juta orang.

1.3 juta pula adalah golongan kanak2 bawah 6 tahun.
Jadi tinggal 20 juta orang.

Dari 20 juta ini, 7 juta masih belajar (tadika, sekolah, kolej,Universiti dll).
Jadi tinggal 13 juta orang yang boleh buat kerja.

Dari 13 juta ini, 5 juta orang adalah pekerja kerajaan yang pergi kerja tapi tak buat kerja.
Jadi tinggal 8 juta orang yang boleh buat kerja.

Tolak 3 juta orang yang duduk dalam hutan (tentera darat) pasal diorang nie nak kerja macam mana... tinggal dalam hutan.
Dah tinggal 5 juta orang yang boleh buat kerja....

Dari jumlah itu, tolak 2.7 juta orang yang menganggur dan tak der kerja, surirumah, pekerja yang kena VSS, orang2 tua, fresh university student, kena buang kerja dll).
Tinggallah 2.3 juta orang yang boleh buat kerja.

Dari jumlah ini, sebanyak 1,215,512 orang dilaporkan sakit dan kini berada di dalam hospital di seluruh Malaysia (tak kiralah hospital swasta ke atau hospital kerajaan dan ini termasuklah hospital gila).
Dah tinggal 1,084,488 orang yang boleh buat kerja....

Sekarang ini mengikut bancian terkini, terdapat 1,084,486 orang di dalam penjara dan Pusat Serenti di seluruh negara.
Jadi dah tinggal 2 orang yang boleh buat kerja...

Dan 2 orang itu adalah engkau dan aku...

Dari dua orang ini... engkau SEKARANG INI masih duduk depan komputer, main internet, main games, reading jokes, membaca email, main chat dan tak buat kerja langsung... jadi tinggallah Aku sorang yang buat kerja dalam Malaysia nie...

Mana aku tak letih!!

Jadi sedarlah skit.... dahhhh..!!! pi buat kerja!!!

Just 3 Words

There are many things that you can do to strengthen your relationships.
Often the most effective thing you can do involves saying just three words.

1. Let me help

MAS and ITS LOSSES

Lo and behold, now everybody is talking about MAS and the amount of losses it makes in the last financial year alone. Mind you, when you are a National Air Carrier and have a financial losses amounted to RM384 million, you are bound to make a lot of ATTENTION.

What irked me so much is the way it is being discussed. All the brouhaha about the purchase of paintings valued over RM 1.55M is for me is dumbfounded and somehow missing the point altogether.

Okay lets put two and two together…MAS is losing RM 384 milion and that purchase of paintings doesn’t actually balance the books la friend. Even when MAS sold the painting that wouldn’t make any difference. The trouble is deeper but none of the “OUR” appointed minister are willing to talk about it because they probably part of the problem. In fact, probably that is the root of the problem!

Most GLCs be it Telekom Malaysia, TNB, Proton & MAS, the procurement methods is not transparent. Why? Politicians intervene as they wanted the slice of the pie themselves. How the hell do you know? I was a procurement officer at one of these GLCs. Another buddy of mine works with another and ex-boss works with another but the story is the same.

When a big tender is up, there are bounds to be information leaks. While the upper management is talking about information secrecy and need to keep tight lip about it, they themselves will dine and wine when their selected vendors at karaoke bars or golf clubs.

These vendors are usually helmed by some Datuk or Tan Sri or even Persatuan Peniaga Pulau Pinang or Perlis to make their presence felt and the political powers to boot. Monies will be thrown and mention and commission will be mooted.

When the tenders are evaluated, you are bound to see that normally even the lowest price offered will not win the tenders! Why?? because the company offered the lowest price is not the Political company. The evaluation committee usually helmed by the top management in these GLCs that have dine with the vendors will used criteria such as experiences, high capital amount, and the ability to deliver to swing the tenders to the favoured vendors.

I know some of you will say this is normal …but look at the bigger picture, if a simple meals offered in a flight can cost triple the amount than its nearest competitor, what does that tell you? In my own personal experiences, there have been too many instances where the cheapest offered good with the same specs., sama capability and sama distributor tak menang tender kerana pelbagai alasan pihak atasan. Company yg ada political power juga menang biarpun harganya mahal lebih RM 250 per unit.

Mungkin ada yang berkata, ala lu kecoh…RM 250 aje, asal dia deliver cukup…okay, tapi RM 250 seunit for a delivery of 1500 unit, tak jadik RM 375,000.00 mahal dari the lowest quotation??

Ini baru satu comparison, banyak lagi …in fact terlalu banyak jika hendak dinyatakan dalam satu entry ini tapi hakikatnya tetap nyata, penyalahgunaan kuasa oleh sesetengah pihak especially those, who have the necessary cable.

Minister sendiri juga bersalah kerana dengan menggunakan pangkat Datuk dan Tan Si mereka, mereka buka company, mereka jadik chairman company sana sini, dan melalui ini juga mereka menggunakan cabme mereka utk masuk tender2 besar mahupun kecil.

Only in Malaysia and in the world itself, the government party is also one of the richest parties in the world. Because elsewhere, no minister is allowed to do business or associated themselves to one. They are forbidden to do so because it clouded their judgment and reaons.

This, in my personal opinion, is the main reason why MAS have such a heavy losses and Proton today announced a lost of RM 150M, what does this tell you? Mismanagement or just a simple fact that the business is not allowed to run properly as it should??

MAS and its GLCs need not change its MD or CEO every so often because the problem is not with one person, the root of all this evil is the culture or ways we do business in Malaysia where those who are backed by Political powers will always triumphed over those who are the really the genuine article.

Think hard about this because afterall, it is your taxes money that allowed some of these Datuk to drive their brand new Mercedez or BMWs. You pay for the car you never get to drive!!

P/S now, everybody forget about the AP issue altogether.....typical Malaysian eh??

POLICE and ITS State

All the brouhaha over the squatting incident in a police cell in Petaling Jaya has caused awkward moments and embarrassment for the police.

The alleged “Chinese National” was sought after and come forward to present their stories. Heads are bound to roll….and many minister will lose sleep over it. Azmi Khalid flew to China on a PR exercise to exorcise the ghost of this incident.

Police were quick to deny that retaliation will take place. An independent inquiry were initiated and many Malaysians especially Chinese were up in arms over the treatments given to their kin mans.

I personally was not too engrossed over it because as always we Malaysian always make a hill out of a mole. Yes whatever the police did in jail cell I do not condone..i had my grievances over their service but did you know that squatting is a standard police procedure to see whether the woman hid any drug substances in her vagina??

Hey don’t look at me that way dude because it has been proven and well documented. The uproar was caused by Theresa Kok, DAP member of Parliament saying that this is no way to treat a Chinese tourist.

Lo and behold, the “ Chinese National” turns out to be a Malay afterall.

So apa nak cakap sekarang? Dulu duk kecoh kata police mistreat chinese national laa, police brutality laa, kena paper depan suratkhabar kerana memalukan pelancong laa, rupa2nya org melayu yg kena ketuk ketampi.

So claim Azmi Khalid pie China melutut depan Chinese government officials tu sapa nak bayar? Mudahnya kita tunduk dengan org lain semata2 kita takut org benci kita, takut org tak melabur negara kita, takut org tak melancong negara kita, takut org hentam kita di international media, takut…takut.

Cuba kita anjakkan paradigma kita sedikit….Amerika Syarikat serang Afghanistan tanpa segan silu, serang Iraq tanpa kelulusan PBB, hina rakyat Iraq dengan bogelkan tawanan di Kem Abu Gharib.

Ade kita nampak George Bush buat lawatan PR ke Iraq memohon maaf kepada Hamid Kazrai? Ader kita nampak Donald Rumsfield pergi ke PBB membuat kenyataan bahawa mereka memohon maaf, berjuta maaf ??

Well what they say was it was an isolated incident and they do not condone it.

Basically, it is kinna saying that we make mistake ..but so what? What the fuck are you going to do? You hate us but that is nothing new…do your worst laa…we US do give a damn!!!!!

Now that is the kind of attitude that will send shivers do anyone spine. Tak payah US laa…Myanmar tahan Aung San Su Kyi dekat 10 tahun dah, manage Myanmar thru dictatorship….tak kisah la Asean kata apa pun…mampus laa korang semua.

Ini juga bermakna mereka adalah org yang benar2 merdeka! They are no longer bounded by the fear that we cannot stand alone, the fear that others will hate us, the fear that we cannot go far without your assistance.

In fact, we are still being colonize, not by foreign powers but by our own fears. The fact that the PM makes a hasty comments also didn’t appeal much to me.

Since we got an independent inquiry, Pak Lah should has said “ I cannot comments much, not until the independent reports from the inquiry comes out”.

Perhaps the lonely nights has taken the toll on him….

Well, your daughter is a member of Sisters in Islam, a group which fight for woman equality above anything else including Al-Quran and Hadiths. A group, believe that woman can and should be an imam during Friday prayer.

You know what sad about it, while they say they are sisters in Islam and all, the majority tak pakai tudung. Mungkin ini personal tapi itu menunjukkan awak baca kitab tak habis. So macamana nak ajar org lain pasal Islam? Pie la mabuk…

Tapi personally, I believe that the Police should charge Theresa Kok for making a false accusation against the police and the government. Since it was a Malay woman, let UMNO fight amongst themselves.

You should be charge for creating unrest and unnecessary ripples in bilateral relationships between Malaysian and China. Perhaps since you like them so much, may be you should migrate there.

Pardon me, I am just quoting Datuk Noh Omar which says something along the lines…heh..heh..heh

Been neglecting my blog for quite some time now….

Not becoz I wanted to…but damn too tired to do anything about it.

A lot has been happening…one of my friend got married, so good luck !

One of my ex-office colleague has passed away due to asthma.

My brother got married again after his painful divorce three years ago and…

I still yet to complete my project at Wisma Genting. Things sometimes move slowly when you lack the necessary funds.

In business, the moment you kinna missed the payment from your paymaster is very painful for the business.

I am not destitute yet but the worries takes away your peaceful, you heart pounding non-stop, you are unsure about what lies….many bad thoughts attacked your mind.

I know that everything will be fine in due time but in the meantime, only god knows laa..

Well you know what cannot destroy you…can only give you countless headache and prone to suicidal behaviour..muahahhah

DOUBLE STANDARD

I read interesting on the ongoing saga on Mr Nguyen impending date with the gallows in Singapore. Mr Nguyen was sentenced to death by hanging in a Singapore court for trying to smuggle 400 gram of heroin from Vietnam via Singapore.

Being an Australian, it bound to be an international crisis.

So one wise minister from Australia, who happen to be the Foreign Minister , said “ Singapore should not hang Mr Nguyen! Any first world country would have forgo death penalties because it is uncivilized”

He also said the same thing when we hang two Australian for the same offence back in the late 90s.

Somehow, I am amused by all these statements la.

Australian have this unshakeable believe that everyone of their citizen is a model citizen. Leslie Michelle, who has just been release from a Bali prison was also given superior treatment. She was acquitted on drug offences as well.

I donno la…first, the statement that any first world country should forgo death penalty is totally oxymoron. US obviously a first world country( a term to divide used by the so called “ wise man”) still practices death penalty. Takkan la tak pernah tengok “ Dead Man walking”. This is a nation build by criminals from Great Britain and castaways from their home land. That fact alone is somehow ironic because they believe that every citizen of theirs is goody two shoes defies logic for me. Isn’t there a saying that what goes around…comes around. Or Once a thief…forever a thief?

Haiya …double standard laa…we have no qualms in having Malaysian committing high tech fraud in Austrakia. That Chinese guy amassed almost AUSD 1.8 million cheating banks and casinos. Well, you go dude!! At least we Malaysian know that in true spirit of Malaysia Boleh, we can be world beaters if we focus.

So…take it on a chin la aussies! Tak payah guna media to create sympathy to any of your citizen that happen to commit a crime. He did it so face the consequences laa.

I have been too busy lately.

But being self employed I should count that as blessing rather than a curse.

Yesterday was a long day at a site…from 11am to 2am the next day.

I remember one of closest friend once asked me as to why I choose to work in this line. I used to have my own room , a good perk and should I continue selling my soul to the devil and forgo my own principle, I should be earning a whooper of a salary.

But then again, I have to wade the traffic every morning just to clock 8 am every morning, smile when I don’t wanna to….it is too much of a job than a career. A lot of people often confuse the term “job” as similar to a “career”. A job is something you have to do, forcing yourself to do it….because there is no alternative. A career is something you love and looking forward to it…..totally reverse compared to a job.

That’s why the term married to a job is totally different as to committed to a career.

Well, I have yet to complained for I choose this path but the ability to wake up at 10 am in the morning and no qualm of staying awake to watch the current European Champion Liverpool played at 3.30 am, is priceless!

Mind you, I am in no way propagating that working on your own is better, this path is a very hard path. No security…no guarantee. Even if you are back with a million ringgit, if you don’t have a solid business plan….you are 90% bound to fail.

On the other hand, if you have a good job that pays well, happy with the environment …carry on. If you have a budding career and the ability to reach the apex of an organization….soldier on!!

But do so ethically and on merit….in your working life and social life.

Because what goes around…comes around. So be careful…..

It is almost here…just a matter of days rather than weeks.

Hari Raya Aidilfitri is just less than a week away.

Mawi is selling all sorts of things, from Canon camera, Proton cars to kuih gelora Mawi. I remember once people said Siti Nurhaliza was over exposed but this Mawi guy, is super exposed la friend but that is a story for another day.

I made mistake in my life, I made terrible things and actions that I still regretted. I know some things shouldn’t have been said or done but it happens.

No excuses but I do seek forgiveness.

I don’t know about you guys but Raya is somehow special.

A day we seek forgiveness from our parents, our partner, our siblings, and kids. To those who has lost their parents, I can understand their sense of lost. To Abdullah Badawi, this will also be a tough time for him.

But spare a thought to those in Pakistan and Afghanistan, who lost their who family in a earthquake, those in Aceh who still waiting for the donation money that never arrive. Mana perginya duit donation Aceh yg berjuta2 dahulu?

Bayarlah zakat fitrah bagi tanggungan kita….

Kerjalah sembahyang Hari Raya dan ziarahilah pusara saudara mara.

SAMY VELLU = THE VILLAGE ..........???

At last, he managed to top it all.

The recent statement issued by the MIC leader that “ Brides is like a new toilet, initially you used it often, after that you uses it less”-Samy Vellu during Parliament session.

I read that statement and wonder how oxymoron can you be??

Last month, before Ramadhan, Datuk Shahrir Ahmad, two DAP officers representing the voice of the smaller people visited a row of houses in Setiawangsa, where an elevated highway supposed to be built, has causes cracks to appear in their homes due to heavy pilling works.

So, Datuk Shahrir Samad pleads to Kementerian Kerja Raya to stop all work fearing that further damages will be incurred.

The next day, Samy Vellu issues a statement “ Kerja lebuh raya ini akan tetap di jalankan kerana jika di berhentikan, lebih baik seluruh Malaysia Lagi bagus naik kereta lembu sahaja. Dari Kuala Lumpur ke Pulau Pinang kalu naik kereta lembu satu bulan baru sampai” – He said with a grin!

Last month as well, One BN MP also question as to why the government must pay the toll concessionaries RM 525 M this year because the govt. doesn’t allowed them to hike their toll rate even though one toll operator announced hundred of millions of profits through their operation.

Again, the next day Samy Vellu said “ Tak payah nak argue pasal kadar pembayaran pampasan kepada pengusaha lebug raya kerana kamu tidak faham kontrak kerajaan!”

Well, I thought, make me understand than…and explain it in lay man terms! A great communicator usually able to communicate great things in the simplest terms-obviously he is not one of them.

My god, that was also one of the most idiotic statement that a minister can make. First, he insulted our intelligence by actually thinking that most of us cannot comprehend about the complexities of the government.

Second, why the kereta lembu statement? I just cannot understand him la …kalau tak mahu buat lebuh raya pun tak pe laa, tapi kena revert naik kereta lembu pulak apa kejadahnya nie? Jalan persekutuan kan ader…yang paling intriguing for me was he actually know that it will take a month for a bullock cart to travel from KL to Pulau Pinang, personal experience ker??

For a minister representing only about 8-9% from the overall Malaysian population, it is poor showing. Not only that the majority of the 8-9% live just above the poverty line and currently, the major contributing factor towards crime, he ought to buck up and shut up.

Sort out your own houses la Samy, you only representing a minority that hardly representing top tier of the nation. Sorry to say laa…you couldn’t even elevated the status of your kinsman to actually conquer the Everest for Malaysia. Compare that to Datuk Azhar, who traveled the world solo and that cubby fella who swim across the English channel-can’t remember his name but I believe he is a Datuk now. Easy eh?

Personally, I believe he way past his sell by date. Too many worn out ideas and way too much excuses. What about the cracks on the pillar in MRR2? Have you done anything about it? Again, why, just widowed Abdullah Badawi and the rest of the BN cabinet actually tolerated you is also a question. Abroad, minister with so many scandal like you are already impeach by the government itself.

Samy, you are the true embodiment of the Malaysia Boleh spirit!

Because whatever you do, the majority of Malaysian citizen still applauds you for your effort!

15 days..

It has been 15 days of Ramadhan.

For muslims, we are half way of completing our third rukun islam and nearing Syawal. For some, there is joy in the next week to come….joy of shopping and joy of going back to their respective kampong.

So far my ramadhan is better than last year…yet to skip any terawih. All the duit raya has been safely tucked into the small packet to each recipient and all expenses has been detailed out. I know that sounds like over zealous but better prepared than sorry.

Raya this year is not like any other year. No new baju raya because I have like 5 baju melayu which I hardly wear. No new pants, no new shoes….for my kids yes but for me, I just wanna have a modest raya.

Perhaps because 6 days after raya, I got an exam coming up but that was it either. Mungkin saje pasal duit tak berapa ada, tapi duit memang tak pernah berapa ada pun so, tak ade la difference nyer.

Tak tahu ler kenapa tapi mungkin kerana usia sudah meningkat

Hendak dikata tua tapi masih ligat menendang bola dan bertukang di rumah. Hendak di katakan cedera tiada apa lukanya namun raya ini begitu sederhana.

Mungkin itu yg saya mahu …

Mungkin raya memang sepatutnya begitu…

Mungkin saya sedih ramadhan mahu berlalu…

In life, one cannot be too sure of what he wants or desires.

Sometimes, you just have to accept that que sera, sera …what ever will be, will be.

In many periods of our life, we encountered so many crossroads….unsure to take the left or right turn, perhaps even turn back to where it all started in the first place.

We all have been there and we all have taken the choice. No matter whatever the outcome is, we been there.

I have been wondering that no matter how well plan our life looks like, no matter how many objectives we set, numerous resolutions year after year…sometimes we ended up at the same cross roads.

Be it either to get married to somebody that we are unsure of or to take up the job offer from our dream company fearing that we might not fit in. Unclear the future is-says Yoda in Empire Strikes Back and how wise those words are!!

Personally, i believe that life itself is pandora’s box. It is what we make of it. Being a muslim, I have no qualms about qada’ and qadar but I also believe that we should set our own course of life, even when we failed that doesn’t mean that we should just give up because itu sudah takdir. Mungkin apa yg perlu kita tanamkan adalah “ Aku harus cuba dgn lebih baik lagi” or “ Gagal hari ini bukan bererti gagal selamanya”.

To be honest, I led my life on that principle alone. I may fail today but tomorrow is a different game altogether. I will do my best …no matter what! Everything in life is a contest and there is no best price for coming up second best!

However, lately I have seen incidences or scenarios that shattered my long and trusted beliefs. Reading abt a framer in South Africa who have tried to cultivate his farms but failed multiple times, no matter what method he tried.

Or, a story of a couple been married for 18 years but tried as hard as they might, they just couldn’t conceive a child. Or, a footballer named Alan Shearer who played for his favourite club, Newcastle Utd but probably will never ever land any silverware with the club.

Hmm… perhaps what we wanted the most may be not the one for us. What we felt the most suitable for us could turn into the worst nightmare. What we thought the best person to be our partner may not the one either.

Perhaps the best for us is what we have now. The best car is the same car that has been serving us during our darkest moments and trying times. The best mate is the same buddy, who eat in the same Maggie mee bowl during university days not the guy who constantly pad our back when we got our promotion.

Perhaps the best person we could ever marry is the same person who been with us during our poorer days and support us during our brighter days. Perhaps the best job for us is the one we have now if only we know how to appreciate what it have given us so far.

Then again, there is a saying the grass on the other side is always greener …you can never now.

Till that happens, I will still do the best in what I do…only after I tried a gazillion times and still failing, I know la it is time to stop trying anymore. Fate is what you make it…and god knows best, best for us and best for the people around you

The news that our National U-23 football team get walloped by the thais last two weeks by 7-0 was not a surprise to me. After more than a decade of under-achievements and disappointments, we are in a quagmire of footballing limbo.

I have seen as a fan and Malaysian citizen that no matter how many millions we poured to raise the standard of football, we will be no better even in 20 years. Why??

First, the FAM is being filled by the same old heads that has been in control for more than 20 years. Let’s be professional about this. If a CEO of a listed company failed to bring about the necessary level of profits and results, he will be probably be booted out during the AGM or ousted by a vote of no confidence.

FAM is being helm by the Sultan of Pahang by more than 25 years. The vice president is also helm by his son. The rest of the crew are made from state politicians, failed politicians and has beens.

Personally, I believe that is the problem. Having such a huge figure such as a sultan as the President of FAM blunted any level of criticisms because it will be against the law!! Admit it, nobody gonna say to the Sultan of Pahang…” Tuanku, I disagree with your ideas because I feel it is outdated1”. Silap-silap kena buang daerah..malah boleh kena tangkap ISA. Especially in a society that worshipped Hang Tuah as the Uber Malay hero eventhough in modern management terms, Hang Tuah can be classified as a sell-out or licker of the bosses boot!

Second, there are too much money in FAM. Itulah sebab ramai gila nak jadik manager state football eventhough he hardly know shit about the recent rules of offside, penalty taking or how many substitutes allowed for AFC Cup?? The coach imported from all corners of the world are paid handsomely to create miracles, or so they said especially when the Manager usually helm by the some Datuk is paid almost double compared to the coach! So, apa kerja manager tersebut apabila tiap2 tahun ade krisis gaji tidak dibayar oleh State football, EPF tidak dilangsaikan dan sebagainya. Yang peliknya, setiap kali kes ini berlaku, FAM akan step in…dan bayar utk state. Mana pergi accountability and responsibility mereka ini apabila FAM yang diberikan wang daripada kerajaan persekutuan utk memajukan bolasepak negara jadik Bank Negara mini? The money given by the Federal Govt. is your tax payers money..my friend! Your blood, sweat and tears money!!!

In fact, let’s compared to other sports bodies that created World Champions like Bowling and Squash, they faced no problems whatsoever except for some internal squabbles because there are less money in it!! Winning a major tournament for bowling will only rake in RM 10,000.00 whilst winning FA Cup will net almost RM 250,000.00. Any dumb ass will know what to choose but these players playing Bowling or squash is the real national hero because they follows their passion rather than the amount of money!

Third, the infrastructure is no longer available for the development of grass root level. Most of the schools nowadays, no longer have a full blown football field or even have a school football team. As more and more kids going to school, fields has give way to computer labs, additional school blocks etc. In fact, more parents actually discourage their kids to be active in sports because there is no FUTURE in it!

“ Buat apa main bola…bukan boleh dapat kerja!”- Hmm…berbeza dgn Michael Owen when he was signed to play for Liverpool at the age of 7, Wayne Rooney at 9 and Robbie Fowler at 6 years old. Their parents believe that there is future in football…mind you, Robbie Fowler owns more than 20 million pounds in assets!

Fourth, the lack of transparency in funds used by FAM. Why these figures are not shown to the public is an amazement to me especially when it is of the most biggest sports association in Malaysia. FAM spends more money than Perlis! Why? Perhaps there are items like project management(karaoke with GROs) or trips to Bangkok in their accounts that they are afraid to reveal? If we the public cannot question why our tax payers money is being used for the Sultanate of Pahang expenditure, we are either in vegetative state or in a coma. Mind you, Sultan Pahang salary and his family allowances are also being paid by us…via our tax money as well.

Hmm…there are other factors, I hope you can enlighten me even more because I have run out of super latives!

Stress is one of the top causes of heart attacks – and working with stupid people on a daily basis is one of the deadliest forms of stress, according to researchers at Sweden's Lindbergh University Medical Center.

The author of the study, Dr. Dagmar Andersson, says her team studied 500 heart attack patients, and was puzzled to find 62 percent had relatively few of the physical risk factors commonly blamed for heart attacks.

"Then we questioned them about lifestyle habits, and almost all of these low-risk patients told us they worked with people so stupid they can barely find their way from the parking lot to their office. And their heart attack came less than 12 hours after having a major confrontation with one of these oafs.

"One woman had to be rushed to the hospital after her assistant shredded important company tax documents instead of copying them. A man told us he collapsed right at his desk because the woman at the next cubicle kept asking him for correction fluid – for her computer monitor.

"You can cut back on smoking or improve your diet," Dr. Andersson says, "but most people have very poor coping skills when it comes to stupidity – they feel there's nothing they can do about it, so they just internalize their frustration until they finally explode."

Stupid co-workers can also double or triple someone's work load, she explains. "Many of our subjects feel sorry for the drooling idiots they work with, so they try to cover for them by fixing their mistakes. One poor woman spent a week rebuilding client records because a clerk put them all in the 'recycle bin' of her computer and then emptied it – she thought it meant the records would be recycled and used again."

Independence Day...

3 Days from now, we will be celebrating our 48th National Day.

Yes...in case you haven't notice, it has been 48 years of independence ....it has been 48 years since we are govern by some foreign powers, be it the Portugese, Dutch, British, Japanese etc.

For me, the national day is just a holiday for me.

Call me unpatriotic or even a communist, i have again fail to live up to the National Day Celebration.

Last year my blog did say the same thing and i felt my opinion aren't swayed again this year.

It is just a holiday just like any other holiday we have in this country. With the exception of Hari Raya...31st August is just like another Bank Holiday or just a day break in a long week.

Why?

Do i not love Malaysia? Do i not cared for the nation and its fight? Do i forgot about the sacrifices of our national heroes??

Those who read my entries will testify that though my views are strong....i voiced it out becoz i love this country...probably more than some of the Minister entrusted to run this country.

I cared for the nation just like you, i cheered for our Malaysian Badminton Team, Nicol David, Esther Cheah being World Bowling Champion, Karamjit Singh-Asia Rally Champion etc.

I do remember the sacrifices Mat Kilau made, Tok Gajah, Tok Janggut, Mat Salleh in Sabah, Leftenan Adnan in defending this nation from the colonies.

The why i am somewhat lacklustre about National Day?

Difficult to say...but there are myriads of factors like err..err difficult to pinpoint laa

However, i havent to say that listening to Patriotic Song by Sudirman over and over again kinna get on my nerves. By putting flags on my car which gonna wither away in two weeks somehow not a good investment for me. Standing in Cinema when hearing the National Anthem also for me falls into a long list of stupid ideas.

Personally, the pride of the nation comes from the heart...it cannot and will not be force into an individuals. When the Japanese came and require our dad or grandad to bow to the sun and sing the Nippon...it doesnt work either. The British tries to institutionalise the British way of thinking, raising the Union Jack ..but it doesnt work either. Again...history has already shown that this National Pride cannot be force upon....it must come from within.

How many of us visit the Tugu Negara in the last 5 years?

The answer probably ...err i was there when i was a kid.

Or probably the answer will be " Melawat patung itu haram..so i tak pie laaa..." eventhough the same person will probably happy wearing a shirt that says " Mawi World!!!" ...idolization is also haram, you know!?

Though i hate to say this, look at the Americans and probably you will learn a thing ot two.

They love their country more than us eventhough our flag have 90% resemblenes.

They remember their struggle to create the USA compared to some teenagers in Bangsar happily dancing away to DJ Tiesto in Modesto or Zouk without the faintest idea on who Loke Yew, Tun Sambathan or Ahmad Bustamam was.

The Americans instill their national pride since kindergarden...they re-enact their forefathers struggle in school plays and poetry, they teach idioms about the fall of Troy and the breach of Great Wall of China because of treachery and egotism.

What do our school kids learn nowadays about our nation?

That is why some of us will only watch the National Day Parade in Putrajaya in its full session only when browsing thru channels at Astro.

National struggle and pride must start from kindergarden straight into university days.

The story of Leftenan Adnan, Tok Janggut, Raja Haji in Johor and the betrayal of Raja Abdullah in Perak must be told again and again in order to be ingrain in our future generation.

That is why i failed to understand the weekend before the National Day ...TV3 showed " Cinta Si Penngali Kubur" as a prime time showing on Saturday. Just imagine, nobody has yet to make a movie abt "Tunku Abdul Rahman" abt his fight for Merdeka. The worst thing that cross my mind was "Was it even worst to be colonise by a foreign power rather than be undermine and bluff by my own race?" At least, colonisation by a foreign power...i know my enemy clearly.

That for me just probably explain just why i failed to have the joy of Merdeka this year.

Fuel prices…theory, opinion and conspiracies.

Back in May 2005, when there were some hush-hush on another fuel price increases, PM stated not to speculate for it is bad on business.

Lo and behold, July 2005, the price for petrol per litre raised another ten cents to a new price of RM 1.62. Diesel was hike up another twenty cents to a new price of RM 1.34. Based on the data given by The Star on the 21^st July and The Edge later that week, these price has increased the cost of driving by 25% - 40% depending on the intensity and frequency of movements.

During the reign of the current PM alone, price hike for fuel alone has been increased by forty cents, with a gradual increase of 10 cents each. Factors cited are the constantly rising price oil per barrel traded internationally (currently USD67 per barrel), the need to be more conservative in our subsidies and the tightening of govt. purse.

Data given by the govt stated that our price level is still the lowest in the region especially in the ASEAN group of countries. Our price level is still lower compared to Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia but higher by 15% in Brunei.

My opinion is this.

First, Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand is a net importer of oil i.e. they consume more than they produce. In the case of Singapore, they hardly have any resources to boot no it is not a mystery. Thailand and Indonesia do have oil but it is not enough to sustain domestic demands.

Second, the average numbers of cars/vehicle in our country is a lot higher than our ASEAN region. The car per citizen ratios in Singapore and Thailand is a lot lower compared to Malaysia because the cost of owning a vehicle in Singapore is lot more expensive whilst the income per capita in Thailand is lower than us. Vehicle di sini bermaksud kereta and motorsikal.

Penduduk Malaysia rata-ratanya mempunyai satu kereta utk satu family dan bagi keluarga berpendapat rendah satu motosikal mesti ada. In fact, Malaysian market is moving into second car segment…kereta kedua keluarga yg lebih kecil dan fuel savings. Maka timbullah Savvy and MyVi, datanglah Chevy and Honda Jazz.

Ketiga, none of the ASEAN countries have a national petroleum agency that is in the Top 10 Petroleum Company in the world. In terms of revenue and income return, Petronas is second to none, better than ExxonMobil, Shell and BP. Apatah lagi dgn kenaikan harga minyak yg melambung ini, maka keuntungan Petronas juga meningkat lebih 50% berbanding dgn tahun lalu i.e. estimated to be RM 500M for the first six months. Petronas is getting bigger and more competitive.

Berdasarkan kepada 3 faktor di atas, saya berpendapat bahawa kenaikkan harga minyak tidak wajar malah membebankan rakyat terutamanya golongan berpendapat rendah. The fuel subsidy should be maintain simply becoz WE CAN AFFORD IT! Dari sejarah pembangunan Malaysia, seandainya harga minyak setong turun ke harga asalnya iaitu USD 40 per barrel, rasanya harga minyak tidak akan diturunkan juga pasal malas agaknya. Jika diteliti buku “Wealth of Nations” by Adam Smith , kerajaan sepatutnya govern sahaja dan biarkan rakyat compete and set the equilibrium price.

Secara peribadi, saya merasakan bahawa rakyat yang terpaksa menanggung beban kenaikan ini. Di manakah perginya cerdik pandai negara ini yang mampu menyelesaikan kemelut kenaikkan harga minyak ini? Pasti ada cara bagi mengimbangi subsidi minyak ini jika kerajaan berani menaikkan cukai bagi golongan kaya yang mampu mempunyai rumah seperti di bawah. Ketidak samaan pembahagian kekayaan negara amat ketara di negara ini di mana jurang di antara golongan “ada-ada” amat jauh dgn golongan miskin negara ini. Keadaan ini lebih menonjol bagi kaum India dan Melayu.

Kemelut subsidi minyak ini juga jadi beban apabila pada masa yang sama kerajaan menurunkan kadar faedah kepada taraf yang terendah bagi tempuh 18 tahun. Anda mampu mempunyai kereta baru dgn kadar faedah hanya 2.5% dan kereta terpakai 3.85%. Maka panjanglah jumlah pesanan MyVi hingga ada yang terpaksa menunggu hingga hari Raya untuk mendapatkan. Ada ke yang tempah Savvy?? I wonder….

Petronas merupakan syarikat kepunyaan negara maka wajar jika keuntungan ini di laburkan kepada rakyat. Kenaikan kadar minyak ini tidak memberikan kesan yang mendadak kepada rakyat Amerika Syarikat kerana biarpun ekonomi mereka di kuasai yahudi. Harga minyak per gallon hanya berganjak sebanyak 5% sahaja(The Economist July 2005) manakala Malaysia sudah meningkat sebanyak 30%.

Maka ada yang mengatakan semua ini adalah salah US juga kerana tindakan mereka menyerang Iraq menyebabkan pengeluaran mintak di Iraq menurun secara tiba-tiba. Perumpamaan yang digunakan adalah jika minyak di dunia ini dihasilkan oleh 10 negara ..maka ditutup pengeluaran di satu negara maka pasti harga akan naik kerana permintaan lebih daripada pengeluaran. Ini basic rule of ecomony.

So there are many theories that US is storing these fuel in Iraq because they wanted to make record profits. Mind you, the Bush family from Texas are fuel land owners..so inadvertently they also benefits. Another theory is that the Jews are conspiring to halt the explosive economy of China that seems to eat every single resources in the world. Mana satu yang betul hanya tuhan sahaja yang tahu.

Pada saya yang berugama islam, kerajaan yang dipimpin oleh org yang mengaku Islam juga harus memikirkan hal ehwal rakyat juga. Ke mana perginya wang BaitulMal Malaysia dan Pusat Zakat Negara sehingga pihak persendirian terpaksa mencari derma melalui rancangan television “Bersamaku” ? Apa ertinya kamu memakai Mercedez S Class ataupun BMW 7 Series apabila bergelar Menteri ataupun CEO jika nasib meraka seagama masih tidak terbela. Apa ertinya poket kamu penuh dgn wang RM100 jika derma di masjid masih berat tapi tidak seberat mengundi Mawi di AF3 menggunakan kad prabayar RM30? Menangnya mereka-mereka ini sejauh mana menguntungkan kamu?

Lebih baik sokong Liverpool kerana jika Liverpool menang, hati pun senang heh..heh..heh.

Setelah 48 tahun merdeka...akhirnya anak melayu kita berjaya juga mempunyai taraf kemajuan ekonomi yang sama dgn bangsa lain. Mereka telah berjaya merubah status mereka daripada bekerja makan gaji kepada pemberi gaji kepada orang lain juga.

Kemajuan ini merupakan usahasama kerajaan Barisan Nasional dangan rakyat Malaysia terutamanya rakyat Melayu. Ini harus kita bangga kerana kesenangan mereka juga melambangkan bahawa kita orang Melayu juga mampu melangkah kesetapak lagi ...lebih tinggi ke arah cemerlang, gemilang and terbilang.

STATEMENT DI ATAS MERUPAKAN JIWA PENULIS JIKA DIA PERCAYA SEGALA APA YANG DISOGOKKAN MELALUI MEDIAMASSA NEGARA INI SELAMA 30 TAHUN DIA BERNAFAS!!!

Namun jika kita teliti diri kita sendiri....mereka-mereka disekeliking kita...sedara mara kita...jiran2 kita...masih ada yang merempat di bumi yang mereka panggil tanahairku!

Ada baru2 ini seorg menteri besar negara ini mengelarkan negerinya " Negeri Maju"..sedangkan anak2 melayu di Sabak Bernam ada yang masih tiada bekalan air, tiada jalan berturap ke kemudahan asas...tiada kemampuan utk talian telefon apatah lagi kereta.

Ada lagi anak2 melayu kita di Perlis yang masih terpaksa berhenti sekolah utk bekerja menyara keluarga kerana kesempitan wang! Ada lagi wajah org2 kita yang muncul di siri "Bersamaku" yang kurang jumlah penontonnya berbanding AF3, menelan siput babi sekeluarga kerana kesempitan ekonomi, banyak lagi anak2 muda yang menghiasi lorong2 bandar sambil menyuntik dadah ataupun pil khayal agar tinggi lompatannya semasa di kelab malam nanti.

Ramai lagi org kita masih kais pagi makan pagi biarpun bekerja di bangunan tinggi ataupun jawatannya tinggi namun hutangnya juga membusun. Ramai lagi anak2 muda yang lebih suka menunggang motorsikal di waktu malam minggu sambil menjerit-jeritkan ezkos motornya kerana dia merasakan itu sudah hebat. Di mana bangsa Cina ketika dia ramai2 naik motorsikal itu? Kemungkinan besar dia tokey kedai motorsikal tersebut yang baru diservis petang tadi dengan harga RM 65/=

Sejumlah besar lagi org2 kita di kelantan dan terengganu yang berada di bawah paras kemiskinan....hidup sekeluarga seramai 10 hingga 12 org dibawah satu bumbung sehingga menyumbang sumbang mahram.

Di mana silapnya kita?? Sehingga ada di antara kita menjadi terlalu kaya sementara masih ramai lagi yang tertinggal lagi arus kemajuan.

Saya tidak mengata bahawa kerajaan sekarang gagal menaikkan taraf kehidupan org kita cuma saya merasakan " WE COULD BE BETTER" if the people chosen actually do their job honestly.

There i was, in the baking hot sun.

Trying to make my way to my car insurance company adjacent to Jalan Sultan Ismail. Those who are aware of this lane in KL would surely attest that the bloody road is never free of traffic jams and rude drivers. Except during 2 days of raya, chinese new year etc.Most of the time, you are in need of tremendous patience and acute driving skills. Enough of that...

I survived unscathed...park my vehicle happily and walked straight to the Kurnia service counter. Readily took my number and waited, not so many customers waiting so i guess i am in luck. After a while, my numbers is up and i brisked to the nearest counter. I smiled and said " Renewal" and handed over my car cover note. He smiled and said "sure..."

There is was believing that i am in good enough hands but this will not be a good story unless there is some suprises la kan...

" I am sorry sir...i cannot renew your car insurance because you need to install Captor first. Your car is on a hotlist that is why you are required to install this Captor ...otherwise you cannot renew the insurance"

I was shocked but tried to keep calm..."errr what is a "hotlist"?

"Hotlist are list of cars which are usually stole or targeted to be stolen...models like Vios, Camry, Estima, Jazz and City are required to do this"

" what i do now?" I asked humbly

"You can go to Captor installation center which we have in multiple locations. This device will tracked you, immobilizes it should you reported it stolen just in a matter of minutes..."

"Man, that's good...so how much?" i gingerly asked.

" Captor cost RM1,988.00 plus your insurance of RM 1,085 after deducting your NCB....that will be RM 3, 073.00"

I have no intend to discredit the insurance company but only in Malaysia the consumer is constantly kick on their backside without them knowing it.Remember the new bankcard where you need to pay just to use the service?? remember that?? You are a customer...??

Sorry for the languange but i felt strongly about this. The insurance company didn't inform me on this new policy but simply dictate what need to be done. For motorist yang insurance memang nak expire esok atau lusa memang panik la ...pasal kena cekau lagi RM2K pasang...maka gosok la mastercard anda...jika silap..kena declare bankrupt hujung tahun...parah tuh?!

A call by my partner also confirms this....Amfinance also requires the captor to be installed as well, Mayban on the verge, PIAM (body that governs insurance company) should be aware of this because this totally disregard the voice of the customer....we should be given an option because i am a paying customer. Now, isn't there a saying that a customer is always right?

I refused to install it...so i registered with another insuarance which doesnt requires me to install that device.

I failed to understand this. While i can digest that this device is good but why it is very expensive. If this is very good, why not all cars required to install this?

I remeber the last initiative taken which was the black box install in a car by the insurance company...that was a total disaster as well. Nothing happen.

Now since the device is install...wouldnt the thief disable the device as well? Even Cobra anti-theft device pun kena jack....apatah lagi benda nie??

Yes the device is good...it can stop the car, locate the car anywhere in Malaysia..yes it is marvellous but it is also an invasion of privacy.

Since the device can tracked your car, it can also detect where you favourite hang-outs, your favourite shopping malls and place of interest. The data gathered can readily be sold to another marketing arms that utilizes this information to con you some more!!

For those who like frequenting Lorong Haji Taib or Chow KIt to get some quick action..hear me, they know you are there!

Now that a scary thought huh??

AYAH PIN ….KENAPA DAN MENGAPA

Aku malas nak menulis pasal benda nie tapi pasal asyik dapat front page coverage, maka terpanggil la jugak aku menulis pasal benda nie…pada saya, bagus juga saya menyumbang komentar terhadap benda nie kerana ianya melibatkan agama dan cara hidup kita.

Rata-ratanya ramai yang sudah tahu atau dengar pasal Ayah Pin ini, sudah lama dah dia beroperasi ..persoalannya kenapa dia dibiarkan sebegitu lama?? Dulu kes2 macam ini cepat aje kena tangkap….

Alasan yang diberikan oleh Jabatan Agama adalah kerana kesulitan teknikal dan atas what charge are you going to detain him. Ini pada saya pun tidak tepat….malah menampakkan Jabatan Agama takut disaman semula kerana Ayah Pin mendapat sokongan pelbagai golongan sama ada professional mahupun drummer Def Gab C.

Jika benar pun, sila jelaskan pada saya bagaimana kerajaan kita boleh menahan Azmin Ali, Lim Kit Siang, Mat Sabu, Fernandez, Ustaz Ashaari Muhammad dan pelbagai lagi menggunakan ISA. Kenapa boleh, adakah mereka ini ditangkap kerana menentang kerajaan atau masalah akidah? Sepanjang pengalaman saya, kamu boleh ditangkap menggunakan ISA tanpa sebarang tuduhan mahupun perbicaraan??

Kenapa ISA tidak dapat digunakan bagi menangkap ayah pin?? Double standard la kan…atau sememangnya sukar. Don’t get me wrong, for me the freedom to embrace any religion is your right but by virtue of what is religion, we usually think of Islam, Christianity, Judaism, Buddha & Hindu etc…..nie totally new belief that he concocted by combining all other religion, i.e. cult. Mind you, sejarah cult nie tak pernah berakhir dgn baik…malah ada yang berakhir dgn kematian beratus-ratus ahlinya.(Doomsday Cult).

Yang aku heran macamana ada org mengikut dan sama2 berjuang mempertahankan kepercayaan mereka ini….kalau seorg dua org boleh la aku kata pukau tapi kalau dah dekat ribu pengikut …lagi la heran! Drummer Def Gab C berubat dgn Ayah Pin sanggup berikan isteri dia utk ayah pin …diceraikan serta merta dan dijadikan isteri Ayah Pin.

For me this deserve a study on its own…why is it some people have this sort of charisma that can lull somebody else senses and abandon whatever your life belief and follows theirs?!!

Ayah Pin is one of many, imagine other leaders like Adolf Hitler who not only convinced a nation to belief that their race is superior but also to eliminate another race (Jews). Mussolini is another example, an extremist in any aspect of his life…considered too dumb in school yet with his fascist party, he single handedly removed the Italian prime minister and establish a new government in his image….Sukarno also another good example, manage to convince Indonesian to fight off the dutch influence and attack Malaysia after our inception. Mao Tse Tung also another excellent example….with its cultural revolution and peasant empowerment.

To me, the ability of one man to change the course of history is remarkable. Mind you, Hitler write his best-seller “Mein-Kempt” on his own…in his own solitude..in prison. Kenapa dengan dengar ceramah dia org sahaja…ada antara kita yang boleh menangis, menyanyi dengan semangat dan pick up a weapon and bash another person skull all in the name of thy fuhrer!

Yes ..it is remarkable and amazing but it is also dangerous. If today, ayah pin propagate harmony and unity but when push come to shove (100 over mobs torched his commune lately)…he will not be reluctant to lashed out and ordered counter offensive. You never know because a man like him can easily influence his followers that this is their jihad as well!

That’s for me is more dangerous than one man like Mat Sabu, who simply asked the government to be more transparent to be jailed under ISA for 6 long years ….

THE LURE OF MONEY

I submitted a new proposal to our main client the other day. This project will be the biggest undertaking for us, which need to end before Raya and Raya will be the biggest Raya of all.

Insya-Allah, all I wanted to was to make to a living …if along the way, I make extra money..alhamdulilah. To many of us especially Bumiputra get easy money and lost their way because at one time, money was too easy to come buy. Yelah sapa tak mahu duit tapi banyak sangat duit pun mengundang masalah pasal partner pun boleh jadik gaduh pasal dah kelabu mata nampak duit.

Entah, kita pun tak tahu apa depan mata kita tapi kita berusaha sehingga kita mampu. Itu sahaja, yang lain kita tawakal pada Allah SWT pasal rezeki datang dari dia.

Dalam kesibukan mengejar projek agar cepat abis, tubuh aku finally gave away. The exhaustion finally get to me…I have been working practically for 26 days without any time of breaks or weekends. Saturday & Sunday pun pulun….mungkin tu sebab aku jadik letih sesangat. Maka aku tadi terlelap kat ofis selama 3 jam tanpa sedar …letih la sangat!

Hmm..sekiranya dalam kesibukan ini, aku mengabaikan tanggungjawab aku sebagai ketua keluarga, maka bukan aku sengaja…atau melayan kerenah rakan-rakan, bukan apa….bukan aku suka pun tapi aku sememangnya certified workaholics!!

Selagi kerja atau project belum settle…kepala aku sentiasa semak. Jika aku ada free sikit esok, aku spend time laa…malah aku memang bercita-cita nak berehat selama seminggu tanpa bunyi handphone!!

Persoalannya…boleh ker??

IT’S HAS BEEN BUSY

I wanted to add something to my blog for the longest time…somehow I never get around to it or whenever free time I had, my energy has long abandoned me.

However, today is kinna a slow day…which allows me to write what been going on. Well, my life is no more interesting than yours but I am kinna a “flesher” of a writer….i.e. telling a story about nothing, now that’s an art on itself, you know.

Been spending time on the project site and the people assigned to oversee it. Most of the conversation revolves around the suspension of Tan Sri Isa Samad and Osu Sukam.

I know everybody has in their own right to comment and deliberated on this issue because Malaysia is a free country i.e foreigners can come in and buy whatever property we might have, take our woman and sell it back to Malaysian at a higher price!

A lot of people who are staunch UMNO supporters generally supported the move because it reflect the hardline measure the Discipline Committee in UMNO willing to take to stem out money politics. These people agreed that while money politics in rampant in UMNO, Isa Samad is too obvious or too much for some other people liking. I don’t wanna add anymore because these people that I talked to are high brass people in UMNO hierarchy. Who am I to dabble in politics, huh??

But NO!!

I just had to asked….i throw one question to them “ Kalau betul pun dia guna duit, duit sapa dia pakai hah?? Takkan gaji Menteri Besar and Menteri Wilayah boleh spend millions of ringgit buying votes?? Duit nie tax-payers punya money la kan…??”

Man, when will I stop asking stupid question to a very obvious situation. Funny though…because they couldn’t garnered any real answer to a simple question.

The best reply was “Ala kau nie, semuanya berbau anti-kerajaan…apa yang kau tanya soalan yang bodoh nie”

“Yelah, kalau bodoh pun…apa jawapannya …? Katakan gaji Menteri Besar plus allowances mungkin jejak RM12K, 10 tahun jadik MB baru…RM 1,440,000.00 tapi korang kata dia spends berpuluh juta…mana dia dapat?”

I added that “ Bukan aku sokong pembangkang, tapi aku bertanya sebagai pembayar cukai selama 10 tahun….mungkin tak sebanyak juta aku bayar tapi aku rasa aku bayar cukai ada dekat ratus ribu…bukan setakat cukai pendapatan, sales tax makan kat Mcdonald 5%, Pizza Hut 5%, Carrefour 5%, macam2 laa….semua bercukai, don’t tell me I am paying for all these crap”

“ Kalau pembangkang jadik new government pun, aku akan tanya juga pasal aku masih pembayar cukai…sapa2 pun, aku tetap akan tanya?”

Nie mentality yang sebenarnya tak ada pada majority rakyat bumi yang fana ini bernama Malaysia, tanggungjawab sebagai pembayar cukai. You pay but you never asked what is being spend…

They rebuffed my statement dgn statement “ Kau nie sentiment sangat, takkan benda detail cam nie ko nak tanya…dia ada la fund dia sendiri”

So, aku tak sabar tak tanya “ O.K la kalau Isa Sama ada fund sendiri….abis, Osu Sukam boleh belanja 1.5 Pound Sterling main judi kat London, mesti dia banyak fund yek?”

“Setahu aku, judi merupakan dosa besar sebagai org Islam…kenapa Lembaga Disiplin tak ambil tindakan?’

I added “ you know what, with all of this revelation the most job in Malaysia should be a Minister..because you can actually earn millions”

Our IPTA & IPTS should offer a course “ Ministerial Science” because it pays more than most of the CEOs in Malaysia.

Hmm…the discussion ended with a lot of blank space on their faces and a bewildered face on me because they cannot answer my initial question. Buat ponek aje jadik perwakilan atau ketua Bahagian.

La nie mana aku pie melepak dgn geng2 aku yg kerja sendiri gak, rata-ratanya mengeluh yang project tak ada…kalau ada mesti berebut macam org gila.

Nie lebih ketara project supply atau trading base, ada yang mengadu yg dia masuk sebutharga supply 12 bijik notebook kat satu agensi kerajaan tapi yg masuk sampai 53 company, punya la frust dia.

Competition memang fierce pasal everybody wants to make money, The recent fuel price hike, other goods pun follows suit. Most of the material has increased in price …be it 10 cents or any amount but the effect is there.

So when one so-called “enlightened” minister, claimed that only fuel price increase only gonna effected those who are capital intensive. May be he forgot that even if the industry is human intensive, people travel via cars or motorcycle which requires fuel to run. The last time I checked, cars and motorcycle stills run on fuel…so enuff said, the minister is an idiot!

There has been 3 price hike in a matter of 2 years…in a matter of litres, may be you wouldn’t be effected as much but multiples litres, the effect also come in multiple. I feel sorry for my partner who had to travel quite far to her place of work…that’s I am working harder so that she would not be carrying much of a burden anymore….heh..heh ( I like to tell that in order to please myself…keh..keh)

Tapi hakikatnya sama, duit is getting scarce but the cost of living has been steadily increasing. So cam no?

Memandangkan kerajaan amat berhasrat utk mensupply jarum dan kondom kepada penagih, aku sarankan pada kawan2 aku tadi supaya buka kilang jarum atau kondom. Depa semua pandang aku …sikit lagi kategori nak kena terajang dgn dia org pasal bagi idea bodoh.

Tapi aku teruskan lagi …aku kata nie prevention better than cure, so we must support this. Depa semua marah…kata apa kejadanya nie?!! (Wan Kamaruddin of “Edisi Siasat” fame will be proud of this word that has become famous since…)

Dia org kata kalau mahu prevent org isap dadah, bagi education at school that drugs is dangerous. Depa kat US, the government spend billions on the danger of drugs at schools and university. That should be a better alternative rather than giving needles or condoms. Depa kata kalau di drug addict dah high on cocaine, bila la pulak nak sarung kondom?? Mind you, putting that thing on is quite a challenge on its own…heh..heh.

Baik educate school children, kata depa. Dari bagi jarum and condom, yang mungkin depa jual balik…baik letak drug addict nie kat satu pulau dan bagi medical attention kat sana. Lagipun, depa kata sakit nie depa yg carik sendiri…so tanggung sendiri,

Aku tanya kalau yg kena anak dan bini mereka, salah dia org gak ker??

It has been quite some time since I last blog.

Bukan tak mahu tapi masa tak berapa nak mengizinkan.

So much has happen, I practically do not know where to begin.

The last couple of weeks has been quite hectic to say the least…tapi sebagai org yang bekerja sendiri, lebih baik tiada masa utk melepak daripada asyik melepak kerana itu menandakan awak tiada kerja…awak tak ada kerja, maka tiada gaji…hey, itu yg aku takut.

I have managed to secure a big job with our biggest clients, alhamdulillah…that project will eat up my weekend until August. In the meantime, I am finalizing another big proposal that will hopefully keep me occupied until raya.

Malas nak fikir lagi jauh takut tak terbuat…bukan tak mahu, hendak tu hendak tapi takut tak terlayan ..maka tak berjalan lak. Mungkin itu bezanya businessman Cina dgn Melayu, aku ada sedikit takut utk undertake multiple job in the hundred thousand while they probably take it in their stride.

Dalam masa tu, ada la sekor kutu kat tempat client kita org…kerja admin tapi tak la besar pangkat mana pun….tapi gayanya mengalahkan senior manager. Boss dia namanya A, besar la pangkatnya tapi tak ler eksen mana.

Aku biasa deal dgn A aje pasal dia decision maker tapi mamat sekor nie, S, sibuk ler…buat2 dia tahu..mencelah sana sini. Aku kira baru, so aku diam ajelah. Partner aku advise aku supaya jangan layan dia sangat…so I take heed the advice ler.

So masa kami dapat LOA big project tuh, dia call our officemate, Mr H, mintak duit kopi. Kalu sikit tak pe…mintak RM5,000.00 la pulak. Dia mengadu masalah kesihatan dia la apa laa…kata nanti the RM5K nanti tolak komisen dia dgn Mr A la..

Personally, aku tak ada masalah bagi duit dgn dia kalau dia betul2 susah tapi cara dia tak kena. Aku tahu lifestyle dia mewah…dia setakat executive biasa aje, gaji dia RM1,600.00 tapi dia pakai Perdana V6, jam tangan Tag Hauer RM5k, baju Valantino dan pakai talipon 3G. Umur dah jejak 36 tetapi masih menyewa…

Dulu sebelum aku masuk, partner aku ada bagi dia sikit duit sebagai tanda terima kasih tolong kami dapat project besar. Dia amik ¾ dari jumlah tu dan bagi A sikit . Dia kabo kat A yang itu aje yg dia dapat…padahal dia dah kebas dekat RM18K. Mana tak panas A dgn dia bila dia dapat tahu.

Aku tahu dia kuat berpolitik dgn platformnya UMNO dan sibuk dgn launching Putera UMNO. Dia selalu lepak Lotus sampai pagi…agar GRO mana2 yang tak dapat teksi…dia boleh tolong hantarkan balik. Pendek kata….duit nie macam air la pasal berlagak kaya tapi sebenarnya papa.

Aku sebenarnya marah tapi pasal partner aku dah sikit berumur, so aku cepat cool laa….kalau ikut nafsu mahu aje aku tempeling kepala dia. Bukan apa, kawan2 aku umur ratanya belum jejak 30 tapi boleh simpan duit beli rumah, settlekan kereta, kahwin. Nie pada aku menunjukkan kawan aku lagi matang dari setan sekor nie..

Nego la jugak bila bersemuka..tapi lebih sibuk ceritakan susah dia daripada nak faham susah aku, aku nak bertekak pun tak guna ..so mahu tak mahu bagi la jugak. Tapi aku tak bagi sebanyak yg dia mintak ler…aku bagi separuh aje. Ikut nafsu aku, aku mampus tak bagi pasal aku tahu dia bukan buat apa pun…dia tumpang nama aje pasal yang buat paper dan proposal, boss dia A yang buat dari awal sampai abis.

Bila aku tanya lebih sikit mampus dia tak boleh jawab tapi kelentong dia, masya-allah punya la pusing sampai Alor Star baru dapat cover satu point.

Aku terima hakikat yg org macam nie mesti ada punya, tapi aku tak sangka la sampai macam tu gayanya. Buat masa nie aku buy time dulu laa….esok nanti si malaun tuh mintak lagi, siap la nanti…

THE DAY THAT NEVER WAS….

Early in the morning, I received multiple SMS-es congratulating me on my day of inception to this world. Yup…I am hitting the big 3-0! So most question asked me …how do I feel about hitting the initial 3? I appreciate all the gesture but ....

Well…to be honest with you, I don’t feel anything. Personally, I am not that big on birthdays especially mine, not that big on New Year celebration either. I am not that kind of a person who drawn up a long list of resolutions of what I ought to be in the end of the year. I am also not the person that needs to be governed by a certain numbers that much…except the numbers on the purchase orders I received or the numbers on my paycheck ler…that I really care!

Don’t get me wrong…it is not that I am a kill joy or anything…there are moments that I felt that I have come of age…like when I get circumsize heh..heh. Or the first wet dream, or first kiss, the first second base…the first wife (erm..ermm), the first child, the first car, the first house…but it is more of a long series of accomplishment rather than a milestone that I set to achieve at a certain age.

Some of the friends I had since my school and univ. days told me that I hardly change…still the one who plays pranks, crack senseless jokes and a kid at heart. Nie buskin masuk bakul angkat sendiri but an honest response by old acquaintances. Age is a number, for me, and that’s about it. It should not be a barrier or a threshold to do whatever…

I remember reading an article by Rina Omar on Sunday mail about hitting the big 3, (yes…she is the current host of quickie on 8TV)…about lifestyle that change with age, when you start reading Cosmopolitan rather than Remaja, you started taking vitamins supplement, sleep earlier because the body is no longer have the same metabolism rate and jest of life.

May be it’s true but I don’t see myself suddenly stop listening to music sang by Justin Timberlake, Anuar Zain, Robbie Williams in favour of Pavarotti, Symphony No.5 or Engelbert Humperdink. Or I stopped playing futsal, enjoying my lepak time with my buddies… (who are younger than me).

A day is still day no matter what pans out to be. Personally, I believe an average day that is mired with works and meetings can be the most exciting day in your life or a day out in Gunung Tahan planned for months turned out to be a dud because the rain couldn’t stop pouring. Who knows what lies out there….everyday can be exciting, perhaps we can be bold and brave enough to try something new…perhaps everyday will be a new day.

Well, at the moment I need to see my doctor…my back is hurting me! May be a sign of old age…..

Nah!!

Today I presented a drawing that will make the company bigger, undoubtedly….May Allah shows me the way ahead and ease the passage through….

I believe we had done what best effort we can mustered through this aging frame, the will stays strong and self belief undeterred. It left me wondering though about those who has had tried their hand on business…many were burned, many were left broken and many has become financially independent.

I had seen quite a few of my partner colleagues, who were left almost penniless after their business failed. Once were a driver of Toyota Prado and Mercedez “Avantgarde”… now forced to drive a kancil for he has lost everything. Another was a successful business for years in a real estate industry, fully paid his house before his 35^th Birthday…were driving BMW and holidaying in Spain in 1996…all were wash away in the wake of financial crisis of 1997-98. Now, he drives a taxi to supplement his wife income….lucky his house is fully paid la kan…

Of course, there were also many examples of those who are successful …make millions but I am not interested in them but those that I know are usually able to do so because of their “political” connection. Only genuine people who have to go through tick and thin, self reliance…and sheer determination….be a better person out of this sort of experiences. Believe me! you cannot learn this in Harvard, The Apprentice, AF or Nona. I applauded them for not only they wade the water with all their might…the families becomes closer as well. The wife joins the working population again, the children started to save and becomes good students because they know educations will provide them with better prospect.

Only god knows where this road gonna lead me on….but I will try my very best ..should I fail, perhaps there is a lesson I learn from that too…and should I succeed ..may I be a philanthropist and an evil sith lord!

Working on your own has its own benefits and disadvantages too…but I have no complaint because I choose to be here. Who knows what is right or wrong huh? We all try our best in anything…be it in our work and relationships.

The tale of two brothers,,,

Once, there was a family known as Malaysia. In 1985, they were blessed with their first born, Proton.
The family loved Proton all they can. They gave Proton everything. They protected Proton from the bigger
boys in Kindergarden. They told Proton, "You're young, you need protection from them. It's okay to
make mistakes, you're young. Even if you don't learn from mistakes...it's okay...you are young."

Proton became spoilt. He always depended on parents and used up all his allowance on useless things.
When he had to do his chores, he paid people to do it and the work is lousy, causing the parents having
to call repairmen to fix all the mess that he made.

Anyway, when Proton was 10 (but he still acted like he is 1 or 2 years old), he had a younger brother,
Perodua. At first, everyone thought this younger brother will be like Proton. Anyway, this new baby was more
handsome and looks smarter than Proton. Malaysia knew there is a possibilty Perodua could be smarter
than Proton. Since they love Proton so much, they decided that Perodua can only learn a few things. Cannot
learn the same thing as Proton. This is so that Perodua wouldn't beat Proton at what Proton is doing.

Although Perodua was also protected by Malaysia, he learn to be independent very fast. He made good
friends with Daihatsu, who had an elder brother Toyota. The two of them helped Perodua in everything.
Perodua, being independent and smart, learnt a lot and in a short while, was becoming as good as, if not better, than Proton.

Malaysia realized that Perodua was becoming better than his brother.Although proud of Perodua, they still love Proton best.
They paid Lotus (which is older and well known worldwide) to be friends with Proton.
Using this advantage, Proton mentioned Lotus everytime he wanted to tell people about himself. On this own,
he was still the same.

Moreover, Proton is always not updated. When doing his work, he still uses the typewriter and refuses to use the computer.
Perodua, so much younger, used the computer, with broadband for his work. Perodua was improving so much that
Toyota has assigned him with his work, codename Avanza 2005.

Proton is 20 years old, Perodua only 10. It was obvious that Perodua was the more successful of the two siblings.
What is worse,Proton said he still need his parents to help him for another 10 years. He still need to protection from the big boys.
In May 2005, Perodua was about the show Malaysia his best work so far...codename Myvi. Proton, being jealous...quickly
came up with an unprofessional remark about Perodua's work and show his work at the same time as Perodua on purpose.

The future of Malaysia and her two kids are still unknown. But it would be obvious that Perodua will shine, leaving Proton crying.
It would be a wonder if in 2015, Proton will ask Malaysia for another 10 years of help and protection...maybe this time...
protection from Perodua as well........

It has been quite a while since i last blog.

The need to do it has lessen over the days....may be i have longer days at my office and lesser things to say.

I am not complaining for i have been more persistent in my life, i have a new of objective and determined to achieve it.May Allah guide me and show me the right path....i am a weak, a very weak servant but i do try to be a good disciple as much as i can.

Time has been moving very fast, one day you were in your office starting your week and suddenly you are enjoying your weekend already. Time does ..really wait for no man. You just have to make do what you have and fulfilled whatever tasks given.

I have been to a lot of places lately and there i have seen poverty still have a strong grip on most people in the rural areas. In an instance, i wondered whether those kids borned in this environment has a shot of being a fully independent individuals.

Will he get a proper education? Will his parents even afford the school fees? The extra tuition ...the extra set of books?

I was lucky..in fact, i considered myself extremely lucky for i was borned into a middle income family. I was somehow given the right tools and avenue towards a proper education.

But nowadays, some kids predominantly Malay drops out of school because their parents can no longer afford their school fees. Gone are the days where the school took extra compassion and lend an aid...people need to fend off themselves. You either have it or leave it.

This somehow left me feel emptied and hollowed. Where is Baitulmal...in aiding this sort of people? Where is Yayasan Kemiskinan? Mana dia Yang Berhormat? Mana dia pemuda Hijau? Mana dia puteri Pink??

Bila Harizal sudah ditangkap akibat tidak pergi PKN, semua heboh dan membahaskan kemunasabahan tindakan ini. For god sake, his family was poor!! He drop out of school when he was 14 yrs old! That should be a beacon to his penghulu or Y.B already?! But no.....let leave him to rot! Only when the papers highlighted his case...sympathy were shown...but believe me, the damage was done long before the aid came....the remorse will always be there!!

Apa nak jadik dgn society kita hari nie? Bila kita sentiasa dimomokkan dgn hiburan demi hiburan sehingga kita alpa dgn kesusahan org lain. Apa kemiskinan harus kita "batik"kan juga baru kita beri perhatian? Apa Harizal harus di "batik"kan juga baru dia tak perlu bayar denda PKN?

Maaf jika saya berbunyi cynical tapi saya pembayar cukai yg tidak tahu kemana perginya duit cukai saya? Bukankah bagus jika duit cukai saya tahun lepas yg beribu2 ringgit itu dibayar kepada keluarga miskin yang hanya mahukan anaknya ke sekolah seperti org lain? Jika mereka tak dapat, ke mana perginya duit ini?

EPF sahaja mempunyai lebih RM16 billion simpanan...sebulan FD sahaja sudah cukup membiayai beberapa kampung ke sekolah selama setahun!

Entah....kita tak perihatin....kita semua lebih suka menceritakan perihal Mawi yang dapat masuk semula AF3 agaknya!!??

I am a sore loser!

Yes..i admit...i don't like to lose....

Losing sucks especially when i knew it wasn't entirely my fault.

I played sports every now and then....

In fact, most of my schooling days are usually spent on sports..tried everything...there are some games i just totally sucks at....ping-pong, basketball...snooker and pool.

I reckoned i am quite good at badminton, football and hand-ball....a little bit of hockey.

I dont know why but i believe i am a bit too competitive even if it just a friendly game..

However, i understand why being a Sith is more tempting than being a Jedi because you can fight with passion and hate! i cannot remember a single game i had that i can win when i am totally casual and laughing. Some people..perhaps most people can enjoy a friendly game and having a laught at it later...but unfortunately not me, i guess.

I remember i played a game of badminton, i was laughing and giggling...i lost 15-1 in both sets. i asked for a rematch next week...and i am totally focused, chanelled my hatred and walla! i won comrehensively....i smashed better and harder, one i recalled totally straight at his forehead!

In football, i played to win and i will do some crunchy tackles..that will make even Paolo Maldini shirked!! I will shout and played until my body gave away...winning is somehow very important to me.

I need theraphy,i know.... but this attitude is somehow good for me as well...throughout my adult life, i have carry this attitude in my work and it has brings me to some heights that i was personally happy for because it was way too early for some guys my age to achieve.

But i know i can't carry on like this forever...there will be moments when my body gave away and i will no longer able to push myself harder, faster and bolder like i used to. It may even lead to despression when you can no nonger do the things you used to...after all, vanity is one of the sins?

May be or perhaps. Err...org lain ada masalah nie ker?? Mesti menyampah tgk org cam aku....yang nak menang aje. Aku pun tak suka ..tapi entah?! Tapi aku bukan la kalau aku kalah akan maki hamun opponent aku, i will shake his hands because he is a better athlete than me. I tried my best so...he is better ler! Cuma masa main tuh aku tak la gelak2 ke apa, kena concentrate giler....la kan...heh..heh

Why I blog and why do you blog?

I have been wondering on this question for quite some time now..especially when time is not as structured like before. Structure meaning previously I go to the work at 8.00 am….till 6pm….went home, watch some tv…and play with the kids.

Nowadays, it is more like I go to work at 11 am, prepare some paperwork, invoices, proposal…see dozens of people…perhaps till 10pm…or most of the time 3am. Finally, I have fall into the nocturnal creatures category after all. So kalau ada masa terluang, memang tidur or lepak main game.

Anyway, back to the original situation….why do I blog? Initially, I wanted to voiced out against the tyranny and manipulations that happened in every day office. Working in a structured organization, small or big…having a functional orgn.chart bounds to create dissatisfaction. What I experienced and gone through ….i thought will be good for young graduates and those who are strange to the word “office politics” or “ Kaki Bodek”.

While it is easy to say or even deny that this sort of things are neglible, the fact remains that situation where even your closest friends can turned into your worst enemy because of promotion or desire to be loved by the boss…is unfortunately real.

This is same in any organization, while many will easily say…”I do not get involve into office politics” …it is easy to fall prey to it and those who have a rebellious spirit like me, are often strangled by your ethical and principal beliefs.

Now, I am no longer working for some old git, who probably wouldn’t know what and where he/she is taking the department ….i am working on my own, I chart my own schedules and I decide daily what I wanted to do the day after next.

I enjoyed what I do , don’t get me wrong….but I am no longer angry or pissed off with some old prick who refuse to listen to another young man idea simply because he was there when Krakatoa blew up or when Japan invade Malaya. I used to….but not anymore.

I beginning to wonder why do I blog? Am I just one of them who wanted to feel that I am hip and trendy or just happy writing about my not so happening life?

Or is it I am one of those sexually confused person who write about acting like a whore because I felt my choice of sexual orientation will marginalized me?

Or may be….i am in a closet?! Yeah right?!! I have a lot of male friend who are good looking and sexy like if I am gay, I would date them but i don’t think so…I extremely like what woman comes equipped with… Or I write because I simply like to write?

It has been quite some time….and I haven’t been able to find the answer yet….perhaps the answer I get is a positive ones because being me, the moment I felt it no longer worthwhile ….i would not do it i.e. stop blogging.

Till I found the answer….i guess I keep the status quo.

CREDIT CARD SCAM!!!!!

CREDIT CARDS SCENE 1

A friend went to the local gym and placed his belongings in the locker. After the workout and a shower, he came out, saw the locker open, and thought to himself "Funny, I thought I locked the locker. Hmmmmm." He dressed and just flipped the wallet to make sure all was in order.

Everything looked okay - all cards were in place. A few weeks later his credit card bill came - a whooping bill of $14,000! He called the credit card company and started yelling at them, saying that he did not make the transactions. Customer care personnel verified that there was no mistake in the system and asked if his card had been stolen.

"No" he said, but then took out his wallet, pulled out the credit card, and yep - you guessed it - a switch had been made. An expired similar credit card from the same bank was in the wallet. The thief broke into his locker at the gym and switched cards.

Verdict: The credit card issuer said since he did not report the card missing earlier, he would have to pay the amount owed to them. How much did he have to pay for items he did not buy? $9,000! Why were there no calls made to verify the amount swiped? Small amounts rarely trigger a "warning bell" with some credit card companies. It just so happens that all the small amounts added up to big one!

SCENE 2

A man at a local restaurant paid for his meal with his credit card.

The bill for the meal came, he signed it, and the waitress folded the receipt and passed the credit card along. Usually, he would just take it and place it in his wallet or pocket. Funny enough, though, he actually took a look at the card and, lo and behold, it was the expired card of another person.

He called the waitress and she looked perplexed. She took it back, apologized, and hurried back to the counter under the watchful eye of the man. All the waitress did while walking to the counter was wave the wrong expired card to the counter cashier, and the counter cashier immediately looked down and took out the real card. No exchange of words ---nothing! She took it and came back to the man with an apology.

Verdict: Make sure the credit cards in your wallet are yours. Check the name on the card every time you sign for something and/or the card is taken away for even a short period of time. Many people just take back the credit card without even looking at it, thinking that it has to be theirs.

FOR YOUR OWN SAKE, DEVELOP THE HABIT OF CHECKING YOUR CREDIT CARD EACH TIME IT IS RETURNED TO YOU AFTER A TRANSACTION!

SCENE 3

Yesterday I went into a pizza restaurant to pick up an order that I had called in. I paid by using my Visa Check Card which, of course, is linked directly to my checking account. The young man behind the counter took my card, swiped it, then laid it flat on the counter as he waited for theapproval, which is pretty standard procedure.

While he waited, he picked up his cell phone and started dialing. I noticed the phone because it is the same model I have, but nothing seemed out of the ordinary. Then I heard a click that sounded like my phone sounds when I take a picture. He then gave me back my card but kept the phone in his hand as if he was still pressing buttons.

Meanwhile, I'm thinking: I wonder what he is taking a picture of, oblivious to what was really going on. It then dawned on me: the only thing there was my credit card, so now I'm paying close attention to what he is
doing.

He set his phone on the counter, leaving it open. About five seconds later, I heard the chime that tells you that the picture has been saved. Now I'm standing there struggling with the fact that this boy just took a picture of my credit card. Yes, he played it off well, because had we not had the same kind of phone, I probably would never have known what happened.

Needless to say, I immediately canceled that card as I was walking out of the pizza parlor. All I am saying is, be aware of your surroundings at all times. Whenever you are using your credit cards, take caution and don't be careless. Notice who is standing near you and what they are doing when you use your card. Be aware of phones because many have a camera phone these days.

When you are in a restaurant and the waiter/waitress brings your card and receipt for you to sign, make sure you scratch the number off. Some restaurants are using only the last four digits, but a lot of them are still putting the whole thing on there. I have already been a victim of credit card fraud and, believe me, it is not fun. The truth is that they can get you even when you are careful, but don't make it easy for them.

Sorry ...i havent been updating the blog for quite some time, hectic is probably the reason here but time need to be managed rather than dictated upon, hence no excuses...i am lazy!

Anyway, a lot has been happening..i am tired but somehow recuperated and slightly more determined.
